After next year's ICC champions trophy we should start focusing on that. Players who are unlikely to play in 2015 like Zak, Sehwag and SRT .. should be kept away from ODIs permanently. It will definitely take a years time to replace SRT, Sehwag if we are going to try out a rookie.

why? chris martin, hussey these guys are 37 and still playing. zak and viru are 33 (yes younger than strauss) while gambo is 30-31.

Following observations... 1. Wasn't too impressed with Aslam. Seems to be another Shehzad sort of a player. Would go with Junaid or someone more solid. 2. Hafeez at 3 is way too high. IMO he should bat at 6. 3. Umar as a wk should be a big no-no for two reasons - i) he isn't a good enough wk, ii) he's one of the main batsmen for Pakistan and shouldn't be burdened with wkt keeping as well. 4. Add Hammad to the team as an all-rounder at 7.

I don't see Hafeez being a regular come 2013 Champions trophy, let alone 2015 WC. Also, pitches there won't be suitable for 2-3 spinners. So no need for him. Play another opener in place of Hafeez (hopefully you guys unearth atleast a decent bat in 3 years). Ajmal will be 38 years old, so don't know he will be there or not. P.s: Where is Kamran Akmal? :--D
