2nd test vs England at Wankhede..the ideal occasion to say goodbye? Actualy both Sachin and Zaheer could bow out after that 2nd test. And that will be Sehwag's 100th test as well. Going by his statements previously that he wanted to retire after 100 tests, he too could join in...
Unlikely, because the drumbeats for Double Century mark in Tests appearance will grow loudly. Basically Deja Vu from 100th 100 scenario. I think Sachin is aiming for that number now, needs 10 more Test.

While you're at it, why dont you co-write the retirement speeches of Sachin, Zak and Viru as well? I am sure they will appreciate the assistance immensely. :phehehe:

Didn't want to waste bandwidth by quoting a stupid and irrelevant cartoon' date=' but yeah keep that bhakti alive.[/quote'] Sorry, no bhakti/vakti here. To suggest that a batsmen can go from having one the best years of his test match career (in 2010), to 'performing tamasha for the Ambanis' in a matter of 10 test matches is quite a stretch of the truth, do you not think? Also, forget for a moment whether Sachin deserves a place in the test side or not, but the mere suggestion that he's only playing the game to 'satiate his corporate overlords and pocket millions of dollars' is, in my opinion, BLASPHEMOUS. You're talking about a player who is already rich beyond our wildest imaginations. Do you actually think the only reason why he's still in the international game is for the money? And yes, ignoring bandwidth consuming image, I still do think your post is either a blatant attempt or trolling or, much worse, plain stupid.

Don't worry, there's always a next time , IPL is not very far off, just 6 months away.

1.1 Starc to Tendulkar, no run, short of a length, on off, defended 1.2 Starc to Tendulkar, no run, full, swinging in, pushed back to Starc 1.3 Starc to Tendulkar, 1 leg bye, shout for lbw. Swinging in, full, beats the inside edge, but is headed down leg. Dar quick to move away. And he is right 1.6 Starc to Tendulkar, no run, full, outside off, driven, but finds mid-off Mumbai Indians 4/0 SR Tendulkar 0* (4b) 2.5 Hazlewood to Tendulkar, no run, length ball outside off, SRT tries to hit it hard, mis-hits it along the ground to the silly mid-on 2.6 Hazlewood to Tendulkar, 1 run, length ball, pushes in front of his body, the ball runs off the outside half for a single to cover Mumbai Indians 14/0 SR Tendulkar 1* (6b) 3.1 Starc to Tendulkar, FOUR, length ball, gets the width, Tendulkar is on a knee and drives it over point. Opens the face, and goes deliberately in the air 3.2 Starc to Tendulkar, no run, thick edge as he pushes hard at this. Lands on a half-volley to the diving point 3.3 Starc to Tendulkar, no run, short of a length, no room, defended back to him 3.4 Starc to Tendulkar, no run, full and wide, slips it past the edge. SRT slightly late into the shot 3.5 Starc to Tendulkar, no run, short of a length, on the pads, finds square leg 3.6 Starc to Tendulkar, no run, full, on off, driven off the inside half to the silly mid-on Mumbai Indians 18/0 SR Tendulkar 5* (12b 1x4) 5.1 Cummins to Tendulkar, FOUR, nicely played. Short of a length, angling a little too far in, and he has flicked it fine of short fine leg 5.2 Cummins to Tendulkar, no run, that's a peach. Short of a length again, but rising high towards the chest and also holding its line. SRT is squared up, and beaten 5.3 Cummins to Tendulkar, no run, premeditation. Not looking pretty. Tendulkar backs away early, Cummins stays short but wide outside off. SRT is beaten on the upper-cut 5.4 Cummins to Tendulkar, 1 run, length ball, into the pads, pushed wide of mid-on for one 5.6 Cummins to Tendulkar, FOUR, Tendulkar tries to hit too hard, somehow manages to lob it over cover. Lumb gives chase, reaches there, but tries an extravagant dive, losing the ball in the process and hurting himself too Too many times he is beaten this days. Needs to call it a day before he further embarasses himself.

1. It's not a matter of 10 Tests but 13 over a period of nearly 2 years now... 8 against Eng and Aus while going 0-8, 3 against WI at home and 2 against NZ at home. 2. Yes, you can plummet in a matter of a few months as Dravid showed when he went from the highest scorer in Eng series to a walking wicket against Aussies all in a matter of a few months. Fact is age catches up pretty quickly to a professional sportsperson and especially if you are on the wrong side of 40. 3. Tendulkar's motivation has to be called into question when he didn't play for India citing his children's "school vacations" and is here now playing meaningless tamasha cricket. If we can have a go at likes of Sehwag and Gambhir playing through/hiding their injuries to play in IPL, why should Tendulkar be exempt when his track record says otherwise? At the end of the day Tendulkar is an over the hill batsman whose best days are behind him. Even if he manages to score a few in an odd innings here and there it won't change the fact that India is better positioned with a youngster taking Tendulkar's spot in the team.

maannaniye MP jee.... kripiya cricket se sannyaas le lijiye. Dhanyawaad I'm sure sachin has heard calls for his retirement many times over the past 5-6 years but does he really think he can keep playing forever?? I mean goodness gracious!!! You are 40 years old sir.... this is going beyond ridiculous with guys like Dravid and Sachin playing for this long without even mentioning their intentions so that a succession plan could be formulated.
