Lord Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 I guess only Ashwin could hv been there from our side, that too very togh
Viresh Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Very sad that no Indian is there in the team.. All because of INJURIES :x
Magneto Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 http://www.icc-cricket.com/newsdetails.php?newsId=21285_1346304600 No Dhoni? :hitler:
The Realist Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Why on earth would Dhoni be picked??? Its based on test performances this calendar year and there was the small matter of 0-4 in Aus... Rather surprised at the selection of Fake Accent though, shows that making BS speeches pays off..
Asim Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 At least 6 more South African shouldv been there...
Magneto Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 At least 6 more South African shouldv been there... :--D Six more Saffers and Graeme Swann :agree:
Asim Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 btw why there is a need of 12th man in such symbolic teams? Then why not 16 man squad?
maverick451 Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Perosnally Id take KP instead of Sanga and also Morkel instead of Broad
SLICKR392 Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 We shouldn't whine about not having Indians in the side. We fairly know why :cantstop:
jairamesh Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Always find these World XI unfair. The batting order is filled with Number 3s and 4s. The number 5s and 6s also play a vital role, especially having to face the new ball, having to bat often in the 4th innings to win games etc. and how does Amla get in as an opener??
CG Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 No dhoni and no shakib???? wtf? :hysterical::hysterical:
Ultimate_Game Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Pretty decent team and can't complain with those selections. The only change I would have made is replace Sangakarra with Smith as Smith is the regular opener in Tests and Amla is not. Amla needs to come in at 3. Rest of the team is spot on.
Executioner Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Id take out prior, give the gloves to Sanga. And in his place id give chances to KP or shakib(if its a turning pitch)
GautiMaan Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 How i hate the fact that we turned Clarke into a Bradman of sorts
Old guy Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 How i hate the fact that we turned Clarke into a Bradman of sorts he played one of the best innings i saw in south africa..when rest of team was struggling he playing on diff ground, pitch, attack has been in gr8 form and deserves to be in this team imo
