UG that More was a fighter to the core was never beyond doubt. He did play some gutsy knocks (which looked even more braver due to his tiny frame facing those giant pacers in the late 80s/early 90s). But such knocks were very few and far between. As for his keeping skills, IIRC he had issues keeping to Kumble on the SA tour and later during the home series in 93 which forced him into an early retirement at an age of 31-32.

You once again proved that you use ICF to improve your typing speed.
Yup, you can't come up with a better argument and trying to find a way out :haha: So More compared to Dhoni, Prior and even Bradman is "logic", "debate" and "valid argument" but when someone points to the fallacy of comparing More with Bradman he's incresing his typing speed :hysterical: Whatever dude :cantstop: Why even stop at Bradman, bring in Sobers, Richards and other legends in to the argument as well :giggle:

Let me ask you one thing: would you say More was much better than Dhoni and picked More over Dhoni? Hell even Reetinder Singh is a "fighter" but would you pick him in the team? Also, if such fighting knocks were so rare what is his case against Dhoni? And I have already highlighted that his keeping wasn't impeccable either by losing us the Test in Eng single handedly.

Since returning from Australia Saha's scores in domestic cricket were http://cricketarchive.com/cgi-bin/player_oracle_reveals_results1.cgi 124, 170 for East Zone in 2 consecutive Duleep Trophy matches (earlier in the season had hit a 167* for Bengal). Two hundreds on pitches that were not your normal pattas. 85*, 55*, 65, 72, 53, 53, 11, 18 in domestic one dayers for Bengal and EZ. His 2011-12 season was FC- 5 matches, 528 runs@132 with 3 100s List A- 11 matches, 497 runs@82 If domestic cricket is used as a parameter, you cannot ask more from the bat of an understudy keeper.
But in last four international matches he has not lit any world on fire and that why he is still an understudy where has he shown that he is better than Dhoni. He is first replacement keeper in case Dhoni is not available for any reason and he deserves to be second in line to Dhoni. Him not going to NZ with Team A is travesty and joke but that said you have to accept he is not that better than Dhoni in anyway. So why are we changing something which does not need to be changed at a time where lot of changes are happening in team.

While your typing speed keeps improving, your reading comprehension keeps going down. Supporting evidence for my statemnet is that you fail to understand why I used Bradman's name in this argument.

None of Dhoni's innings would make it in the top 5 innings played by Indian wicket keepers. For someone supposedly so superior he should be dominating that list. In fact, none of his innings is better than any of these three played by Mongia: http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/63721.html http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/63660.html http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/63828.html

so with Sachin retiring and Sehwag off color' date=' we already have a replacement who has a blind fan following, huh?[/quote'] Yesterday a bhakt said that Dhoni's test batting is comparable to Azhar and Dravid and the only reason that he averages lesser than Gilchrist is that he is the captain

Outy' date=' where would you rank his inning at Lords without which India would not have won a series in England after 25 years?[/quote'] Certainly not in the top 5, probably in the top 10. The attack was good at best and though there was the pressure of saving the test in the last innings he faced the last 10-12 overs from Panesar and Vaughan. Certainly not in the same league as scoring 150+ on a pitch where no one else got past 70. Or scoring 50+ from 80/5 against an attack of Akram, Waqar, Saqlain, and Afridi on a breaking wicket. Akram and Saqlain were at the top of their game and Afridi offers more challenge than Panesar for sure. Or scoring 80+ when the top order was blown away by Walsh and Benjamin on a Bunsen burner.

Supporting evidence for my statemnet is that you fail to understand why I used Bradman's name in this argument.[/quote'] I am still waiting for a response to More's so called "amazing" skills where he won India games wit his "fighting" knocks. I see that the only thing he has done so far is lose us a series in England by dropping a sitter off Gooch when he was 36 and went on to make 333. Yup, he's a match-winner and a fighter already :haha: I was spot on :two_thumbs_up: Since More's amazing "fighting knock" and "impeccable wicket keeping" skills were found to be a myth we have a new champion in Mongia :hysterical: That very Mongia who along with Prabhakar decided to reach his 50 against WI instead of going for a win :two_thumbs_up: Says the guy who said Dhoni only scores "cheap" runs and has inflated average coz he is lucky to get out on no-balls :hysterical: What amazing insights :hatsoff: Mera jeevan to dhanya ho gaya :hail:

THIS!!! ... LOVE DHONI
:finger: Dhoni is one of the best wk batsmen of all time. he may not be as good in tests as in odis but that doesn't mean he's bad. gilchrist has spoiled ppl's expectations.
Greatest captain wk and also the greatest Indian wk batsman :two_thumbs_up:
Dhoni is an overachiever with regards to his talent. He has achieved things which most more talented wk/batsman than him would love to achieve.

:hysterical::hysterical: I love the unmatched levels of delusion in that post.

You are one of the few people who befits their name and quite objective too. So, it is ok to discuss with you - in 9 Test match Indian wins, I think More's highest score is 46.

Yup, Dhoni isn't worse than Engineer and the stats prove the same. As for Dravid & Azhar I don't even have a clue how you are bringing that into discussion or what it has to do anything with the debate :dontknow: Neither Dravid & Azhar were wks so the comparison with them is moot but I guess since you have egg on your face after the last kiwi series and with the amazing insights into Dhoni's inflated average due to his "dismissals" against no-balls you will do anything to find a way out :haha: Between I didn't see any Dhoni dismissals off no-balls the last innings so how did he manage to score those "cheap" runs  I am sure you will enlighten and entertain us at the same time :haha: I am still waiting for any proof which shows More was ahead of Dhoni or Mongia completely outperformed Dhoni. Raghav uncle tried to do so but when pointed out that More's keeping wasn't as stellar he ran away :haha: I hope you provide more proof than making statements like "Dravid & Azhar were better" or "Mongia/More/Ratra were clearly better than Dhoni" :giggle:

Knocks played at Delhi,Mumbai and Chennai Interestingly Mongia doesnt have a 50 in Australia or England,so away conditions are not a criteria for Mongia to be good wk batsman but it is for Dhoni.
