express bowling
Today he has bowled his best spells in a long-time. He was incutting the ball consistently and getting zip and bounce off the pitch. Surprisingly, he was bowling objectively. His pace is still not back at his best, but atleast he bowled lots of deliveries between 135 k and 142 k. Pitched up slower deliveries are a nice addition to his repertoire. Link to comment
vandokkum
I am sorry but this guy Ishant Sharma is a joke, how does a frontline fast bowler average close to 40 in test cricket after playing almost 50 tests? Indian fans deserve better. Link to comment
rkt.india
Ian Pont @Ponty100mph The fact that Ishant Sharma's speed (without deliberate slower balls) varies by 8 kph each over, is a sure sign something not right Link to comment
express bowling
Wonderful observations. Who will rectify them for Ishant ? Link to comment
ChanaLal
why has he been allowed to develop like this and what is dawes now doing to help him? also why doesn't anyone else spot these things? Link to comment
msb1991
why has he been allowed to develop like this and what is dawes now doing to help him? also why doesn't anyone else spot these things? These things take time to fix and will probably initially result in a drop in pace as he gets used to it. Ishant is being picked all the time for international cricket, he needs a few months in the nets to implement such changes so that the initial drop in performance won't happen during a match. Bowlers should not be fiddling with actions during matches - it is the best way to destroy confidence and ruin the action changes. Link to comment
King Tendulkar
2 good matches ina row. well done, keep it up. He has potential and still only 24. I am not giving up on him yet by any means. He will come good Link to comment
Lord
bowled well again I still think hes a poor Test bowler.should stick to ODIs ,specially since WC is in Aus Link to comment

Wouldn't he just bowl in a match and train hard in the nets to improve like a batsman does? Link to comment
Raghav_12
bowled well again I still think hes a poor Test bowler.should stick to ODIs ,specially since WC is in Aus He'll come good eventually in all formats. He's got best work ethics in Indian cricket team. Also if we go by coaches' accounts, all he needs is some luck :cantstop: Link to comment

maniac
I knew he would do well in ODI cricket... I did argue with a few posters after the Eng test series as to why he needs to be brought into the ODI squad before this tour and he has proved me right :two_thumbs_up: Link to comment
