We need a skipper who knows whats required at top level and can develop and groom the right talents. Backing Ishant for example for so long was a joke. Wasted chance to develop a real good seamer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Mistakes:-Why on earth are 2 spinners PLAYED for all 5 odi's even when he came to know that Spinners were targetted, aswin had become a JOKE....???? we shoud have ideally played 4 pacers and Binny as the 5th pacer and raina shud have been the only spinner...No sense playing spinners on fast tracks. he was most times a defensive captain and he had to set attacking fields ...i remember azzuruddin managing to defend a score of 125 also with subrota bannerjee prasad and may be srinath... this guy has no clue how to set fields for fast bowlers... why does he not encourage his fast bowlers like he encourages his spinners.. i can easily hear him encouraging spinners but never hear him encouraging fast bowlers ???? Not Sure whether he and the fat coach had any strategy for every batsman...??? he need to set attacking fields on such tracks as one needs to get 6 batters OUT and then Tail starts- to restrict scoring get ryder ross taylor anderson out and we will win the game Link to comment

England tour - whitewashed 4-0 in tests and whitewashed 3-0 in ODIs Australia tour - whitewashed 4-0 in tests and couldn't get to finals of CB series SA tour - lost 2-0 in ODIs and lost test series 1-0 NZ tour - whitewashed 4-0 in ODIs What's going on ? Clearly been threatned like you said above or something similar Cricket is not given the same coverage like in the 2000-2007 period.U hardly see any shows on news channel about odi series and test series just none.5-10 minutes on many channels and thats it.Other sports are catching up and Ipl is the only attraction. He was aggressive in the field, not afraid to lose type. Dhobi isn't fit to clean his shoes. Talent + Controversial players . England tour - whitewashed 4-0 in tests and whitewashed 3-0 in ODIs and lost t20s if im right Australia tour - whitewashed 4-0 in tests and couldn't get to finals of CB series Couldn't beat Bangladesh in Asia cup, couldn't make finals of Asia cup and so lost it England Home series - Lost TEST series at home 2-1 Pak Home series - lost ODIs 2-1 SA tour - lost 2-0 in ODIs and lost test series 1-0 NZ tour - whitewashed 4-0 in ODIs Only positives: Champions trophy, wi tri series, beating aussies 4-0 and some home series.
