The Realist Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Comment on Cricinfo: Like it was often said in the Lord of the Rings, a dark shadow has enveloped Indian cricket. Vested Interests and a total lack of accountability in the 5 day game has meant that mediocrity in the Test format is tolerated to begin with, and then ultimately forgotten when the IPL prices grab the headlines. MSD is a hopeless captain and very often I find Cricinfo hesitant to criticize him or even carry comments critical of him. Let's see if this makes the cut.

They need to evaluate the SA Tests and NZ tests properly, before coming to a conclusion on the Test captaincy. Yesterday no doubt was a terrible day for Dhoni and team, after 3 goods days. Let us see how things unfold tomorrow. Looks like a draw to me, which is tough to take, from the position we were in. If MSD is replaced as captain, one can easily understand the decision. All I want is the selectors to sit on this for a while and do what is the best for India cricket, looking at the big picture.

Bacullum is now CSK. Dhoni makes sure he doesn't let down his csk team mate, by poor captaining.

So what more you want the selectors to do? In the SA Tests and NZ Tests it is not bad if you consider all top Six batsman and Jadeja are new. One has to wait for the results to kick in. So one has to put the things in the right perspective before jumping to conclusions.

I think people are slowly beginning to come to their senses abt MSD the test captain For me it was the 'who will wait for reverse swing comment' from him that signified that he had totally lost it. As for collusion,conflict of interest etc guess everyone will have to wait for more proof before going after a national icon

My guess is that he is under pressure from Srini mafia. They know that an Indian captain in the side (CSK) increases the brand value of the team.

Ishant and Zak opening up bowling in 120s. Who selects these muppetts. Hope dhonis hands are ok. I kid you not. 1st 12 balls of the day and not one over 130. Ishant clocked fastest ball in 1st over at 123kmph.
