bajrang Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 we had this thread about two upcoming indian fast bowlers, and then these trundling supporters have derailed it with their boring lectures on effective trundling. this is why we cant have nice things.
Crookbond Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Didn't knew we had Alan Donald and Craig Mc Dermott posting on ICF under different monikers.
PaceAttack Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Didn't know we had the kumar brothers, Praveen kumar and Vinay kumar posting on ICF under different monikers

msb1991 Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 In tests PK mostly bowls at 120-125k' date=' 125-130 in tests. WRT, our bowling stocks, after seeing Yadav against NZ, I would like if PK gets some chances because he will at least bowl with control and support spinners better.[/quote'] It would be interesting to see how well Kumar would bowl in Test cricket in India. Personally though, I'd keep Zaheer, Yadav, Ojha, Ashwin with Kumar as the first reserve. I fully expect some nonsense about having two swing bowlers in the team or the reason why we should discount Praveen's performance in England (against the best Test team in the world at that point in their home conditions) but I'm not really interested.

rkt.india Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 :giggle: He is going to get hammered on pattas in india.Good that he is gone . At least, we will get to know what he can do in India and we wont have any mysteries about him because every player sitting out is the best player of the team.
Crookbond Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 It would be interesting to see how well Kumar would bowl in Test cricket in India. In the current scenario, you are spot on but you do realize in Indian conditions you may have to sit one of Zaheer, Yadav and Kumar out.

Lord Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Its not going to happen ishant' date='zak, umesh are the first choice unless P.k does something of note in ranji trophy he should be nowhere in the team.[/quote'] hes done well in FC.Ishant has been sucking for too long now bar that WI tour

Lord Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Praveen kumar is nowhere to be seen in the top wicket taker or average lists last ranji season .so i do not know what are u talking about. I meant overall FC career.last year he was injured, which is why he didnt go to Oz

Gunner Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Anybody know when the Test squad is to be announced?
Vilander Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 As long you don't use it as a measure of success' date=' we are good. :two_thumbs_up:[/quote'] nope def not, but someone who bowls at 130k like Junaid is a trundler.
vishalvirsingh Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 That's the Sequence of Fastbowlers for India in Tests, Assuming All are SuperFit..... 1. ZAK- though there are 10 percent chance that He will have Test Fitness.......I truly believe that he is at best fit for T20"s where one has to field for 20 overs and Bowl at his Best for 4 overs only....... I Seriosuly doubt if he is Fit enuf to Field for 50 overs and bowl for 10 Fully charged Overs....I am discounting his batting assuming he won't get to Bat. Test fitness is Supremme as One fast bowler may need to bowl 18 to 20 overs and Field as well.....I am Sorry Zak is surely not Fit for that - he shud retire from Tests though he is a Great Test Bowler.....he. Is a lil heavy for a fast bowler and he can hardly bowl 8 to 10 overs in a day .....everybody knows his fielding fitneSs. 2. Umesh- he is Fit for all formats but he shud play ODI and Tests only. 3. Ishant and Varun ARoon- Varun is better for T 20 and for ODI and Tests both are equally Good but Ishant is probably MUCH FITTER .....nobody knows about Varun"s fitness exactly. 4.Shammi Ahmed shud be a better bet for Tests and Vinay Kumar for T20 and ODI 5. Irfan Pathan bcos of his all rounder capabilities and bhubhaneshwar kumar are Next for ODI n T 20
