saneindian Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Bhajji flat and fast, not giving it much flight or loop
rkt.india Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Really Impressed with S Kaul' date=' really underrated bowler.[/quote'] Underrated, he is just 22 year old and will certainly be rated if he continues do well and show improvement.
vayuu1 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Jokers all around in Indian cricket. Pujara and Rohit will continue to warm the benches while their teams play the semis of the premier domestic tournament. Wonder what they are going to learn by being bench warmers. How to fart sambhar fumes like srini
India-KXIP fan Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Jokers all around in Indian cricket. But what if someone gets injured or Rahane continues to struggle? Can't just call them up during a Ranji game. Also good that squad is together and gels well for team spirit. You need back ups, every team has back ups in squad.
Old guy Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 there are lots of young good quick bowlers now.. good to see shami and bhuvan i national team..i was tired of seeing those same old tried and tested failures
vayuu1 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Problem with bhajji and to some extent ashwin ,infact, most Indian bowlers is they look to contain batsman even in 3-4-5 day games, they forget 1 simple fact ,that the best way to stop run scoring is to take wicket and one problem I have noticed in bhajji and ashwin is that their action is more open chested rather than side one,add to that not putting effort in putting revolutions to the ball ,I believe all great spinner's barring warne were side on,murli, saqlain, indian, quartet even guys like ajmal, swann, herath, ojha, rehman have side on action.

rkt.india Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Certainly, Siddarth Kaul is a candidate to be on South Africa tour with India A team, worth investing. Sandeep Sharma still has a long way to go.
Lord Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Certainly' date=' Siddarth Kaul is a candidate to be on South Africa tour with India A team, worth investing. Sandeep Sharma still has a long way to go.[/quote'] Sandeep moves it both ways.not sure about Kaul
rkt.india Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Sandeep moves it both ways.not sure about Kaul But what when there is no movement. Kaul also moves it both ways, in the air and off the seam too. Sandeep is only swings and is too slow right now, looked very ordinary today on a flattish pitch while Siddarth extracted life while hitting the deck hard and also movement in the air while bowling full. I think Sandeep is too young and too slow, was only bowling at 78-80 mph. He will improve and get quicker too by the time he is 22-23 and that is the reason, I want him to play more FC season before being considered for national team. He is not really ready. Otherwise, we will face another Unadkat farce like last time in SA. If we selects him prematurely, it will only ruin him and halt his progress as a bowler.

Was thinking he should be selected until I thought about that.
Raghav_12 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Mumbai 42/3 already.:(( Sachin is trying to save Mumbai from these armymen. Battling at 19 (40).
Old guy Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 do we need another swing bowler right now ? i think bhuvan will be on that a tour and honestly right now he is much better bowler
rkt.india Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Agreed. Was thinking he should be selected until I thought about that. I think we should not select pacers until the age of 22-23 as that is the age they really mature a bit by playing in FC cricket and their body matures a bit more strength wise too. At 19, Sandeep is very much still a kid. There can be exceptions like Cummins, etc., but still at a young age even for exceptional genuine quick bowlers, there are more chances to be injury prone as their bodies are not really matured to take that kind of load.
The Dark Horse Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Pujara- They dont let him play in ODIs or even in the ranji semis
rkt.india Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 do we need another swing bowler right now ? i think bhuvan will be on that a tour and honestly right now he is much better bowler I like Sandeep as a bowler because of skills, but he is too young for Indian team right now. BK is doing well and we have some other more matured bowlers coming up likes of Pandey, Mohit, and Siddarth too, so it will be harsh even on Sandeep himself to select and expect miracles at international level so early from him.

Number Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 .im worried how rookies will do in tests :nervous: Can't be worse than Ishant.
Cevno Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Yeah, Sandeep is not ready yet. Give him a season or 2 more. Sidarth Kaul seems similar to Shami Ahmed actually. Action is slightly similar too. But Shami is quicker.
