After the great U Turn by the Indian Govt. on their stand to resume bilateral series with arch rivals pakistan, it pretty much looks like pakistani players would most likely feature in the 2013 edition of the IPL. Will it be fair to let them feature in an Indian domestic League and take home the revenue from our economy inspite of pending trials and non friendly co-operation from the pakistani govt to bring justice to the victims of the Mumbai Attack. Also, knowing the real faces of players like Sohail 'The Hinduon ki Zehniyat" Tanvir & Shahid "The Bade Dil wala" Afridi, can we be taken for granted everytime and humiliated with such comments? Would you like a player like Sohail tanvir feature for your favourite Franchise?

Previously PCB put a barr to play IPL as well. Are these IPL franchisies willing to bid for them? No. Considering factors like Paki skill value & their demand, corruption likelyhood, extra staff security issue, impact on fanbase & viewers numbers, their loyalty towards IPL team over others, -all these variables are influencing here. Anyway things can change drastically after Ind-Pak mini series at coming christmas. Such series hyper intensify competition will make higher attraction to these players, but they need to show if they are good enough to compete here first to gain franhises' confidence on them.

In other words, the leagues will themselves decide to keep out zehniyat & co while Hafeez, Ajmal etc will be rewarded for their skills. What better way to send out a signal, we don't hate you as long as you don't shower us with hatred.

jairamesh Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 I couldn't care less, if they play or not in India. The ideologies in Pakistan are so fecked up, that India will always be attacked by Pakis, cricket embargo/politics/relationships will make two hoots of a difference.
