Pace is not an issue, he bowled in mid 130 k's against India 2 years ago too and also in that Nagpur spell. The issue is his control, it seems to have faded away. Still remember that ball to Pujara at Cape Town, it was at 136 kph but the control was so good!!!

When ball does not swing, like in Aus, he can look ordinary some times and 136 ball was a jaffa. he was swinging and seaming kobras on that day. Here conditions are ultra flat. They are belters with even bounce and pace once ball gets 10-15 overs old, it is over for bowlers in hard sun and heat. Kookabura ball is death for fast bowlers on such flat tracks as it becomes useless once its shine is gone. It rarely reverses and becomes soft. He did decently well on flat tracks in England.

I was of the opinion that Styen was better then Akram Waqar and Donald. I presented all the stats and other factors like flat pitches, his record in Ind. I was laughed at and ridiculed. Now during these two test matches I am getting bombarded with texts making fun of my cricket knowledge. Hope Styen pulls himself together.

Hope Styen pulls himself together. its not like waqar or wasim were able to win series in australia? also this is really flat track no bowler would be able to do anything here once the ball gets old .. im just hoping perth is like last year cos then it will be fun this series has been boring for me lol
