It’s the batting which is a huge problem – it failed twice in home conditions despite winning the toss. It is lacking in form and confidence across the board and just cannot expect Pujara to deliver the whole time. Openers are shaky, middle order is brittle and the tail Ashwin apart never lasts long. The whole batting line-up is just too flaky and you cannot depend on it anymore to put up decent scores. Things are not looking good.

indian batsmen do not sweep,reverse sweep,go down the track nd loft for six,except for sehwag nd the tail..have to negate the spin using the above mentioned shots..monty can easily get bogged down,eden is the best place to do so..winning the toss is important

I agree on that pitch attacking the spin was the thing to do . WE need to wait and see what kind of pitch will be get the next game though .IF we get a belter than we may be in business. I Can already feel a sehwag special coming through !

I still dont think that indian spinners are as bad as projected here. The difference is tht england had two batsmen who were willing to spend time there and played well.. Take out KP and cook , see their score :winky: Our batsman should have scored 500+ in the 1st innings.

Cook and KP - Cook and Prior. Made a huge difference. Trott is yet to score a 50 against us.

If they are not great players of spin, nobody else is either. Just for the record, nobody can be really consistent on pitches which turn square and nobody is comfortable on green tops either. But sometimes, one or two batsmen click on such type of tracks and that makes the difference.
