Nova Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Yadav is injured. I went with Zaheer and unlucky Ishant.
jairamesh Posted November 26, 2012 Author Posted November 26, 2012 Newbies for me, Pankaj and Shami. Both have form and good performances in recent games behind them.
The Realist Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Where is the legendary Vinay Koomar?... :nervous:
adi B Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 i would rather prefer a greentop with zak, shami the pacers (badly miss yadav nd aaron) with bhajji as 3rd pacer
jairamesh Posted November 27, 2012 Author Posted November 27, 2012 Selectors have gone for Zaheer, Ishant and Dindia. ICF have gone for Zaheer, Ishant and tight between Shami and Pankaj.
rkt.india Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Selectors have gone for Zaheer, Ishant and Dindia. ICF have gone for Zaheer, Ishant and tight between Shami and Pankaj. It does not look like Dinda is a cut out at interntional level though not a bad decison given his good show in FC and inexperience of Shami who should still play a bit more FC cricket and bowl lots of overs. Pankaj could have been a good option too but since Dinda is as bakc u p every time he is picked to replace Umesh.
SLICKR392 Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Where is the legendary Vinay Koomar?... :nervous: He is pretty good against England :giggle:
Ultimate_Game Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 In Umesh's absence Zak & Ishant pick themselves followed by Praveen Kumar as the 3rd pick.
rkt.india Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 In Umesh's absence Zak & Ishant pick themselves followed by Praveen Kumar as the 3rd pick. you want a Tim Bhainsnan kind of situation by pickign PK on these pitches? Anyway, he is injured.
maniac Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Zak and Ishant.....From what little I have seen of Pankaj Singh, might be a Vinay Kumar kind of fiasco all over again I rather have him play in ODI's to see what he's got. I have said before that PK should be still in the mix of things given his last few test performances but Zak and PK will mean our attack is too one dimensional as far as pace goes. and I like Shami but again I was dissapointed with Dinda too in the past and the series is in a crucial juncture that we can't take a risk of a new bowler. Anyways the squad has been selected so between Zak,Ishant and Dinda....my pick is Zak and Ishanth
SLICKR392 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Praveen? :afraid: His strength is swing which he isn't gonna get on these conditions.
Lord Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Praveen? :afraid: His strength is swing which he isn't gonna get on these conditions. atleast he'll hv line n length to fall back on,Ishant has nothing.pace helps batsmen in his case. I read somewhere that PK is working with Joe Dawes on upping his pace,so expect a comeback

I read somewhere that PK is working with Joe Dawes on upping his pace,so expect a comeback But you saw how Bresnan was getting whacked with that pace. He bowled decent line & length. :idunno:
Lord Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 But you saw how Bresnan was getting whacked with that pace. He bowled decent line & length. :idunno: Bresnan is more hit the deck kind of bowler, doesnt rely on swing.PK is more like Anderson
SLICKR392 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Bresnan is more hit the deck kind of bowler' date='doesnt rely on swing.PK is more like Anderson[/quote'] PK is gonna fail if he relies on swing on these pitches. And PK is no way like Anderson.
Lord Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 PK is gonna fail if he relies on swing on these pitches. And PK is no way like Anderson. he relies on same swing on same pitches in FC cricet n is pretty successful there.I'd like to give him a chance
