vijay50 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 150.4-Straightforward chance to Dhawan dropped at first slip. Buttler at 23.
CG Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 U either are a good slip fielder or not.Dhawan and kohli are not calm enough and too eccentric to stand at slips.we have to look at rahane, rohit, ashwin, vijay, pujara

That is why Dravid, Jayawardhane etc. have been so good.

Muloghonto Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 And this is why we need sehwag. At the moment dhawan isnt making more runs than veeru but with veeru we have the best slip fielder india has to offer and 10ish overs of part time spin per innings. Sent from my GT-S5830D using Tapatalk 2

Muloghonto Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Viru was as bad if not worse when he was dropped.see the OP' date='Its about Viru:cantstop:[/quote'] Sehwag has been far more reliable than any of our slip fielders of late. He is no dracid in the slips but definitely adequATE Sent from my GT-S5830D using Tapatalk 2
ZeroBlack Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 India have never been good fielders or athletes, Indians don;t enjoy fielding, you need to enjoy it, like the Aussies, SA, NZ etc
undisputed chap Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I would take a specialist slip feilder even if it means playing potentially with 10 men.
f.b.m Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 India have never been good fielders or athletes' date=' Indians don;t enjoy fielding, you need to enjoy it, like the Aussies, SA, NZ etc[/quote'] VVS Laxman and Graeme Smith made were great slip fielders due to their athleticism.
Roshanrocks Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Caught one..woof dhawan's relaxed style worked I guess..

Roshanrocks Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Strange.. No one commented on dhawans stance in the pic posted somewhere above..nice folded hands..casual..maybe I missed something :hmmmm2:
Straight Drive Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 After all the talk of phasing our slow senior fielders to get better fielding, our catching is as bad as the previous seniors. The only good thing this generation is that they are better ground fielders.
