Am excluding Zaheer because he does not fit into a long term planning for the team. In order: 1. Yadav - Impressive pace and with the ability to get conventional and reverse swing over the last couple of years will be India's premier fast bowler for the next 5 years. 2. Pankaj Singh - A much improved bowler and deserves a run in the national side. 3. Praveen Kumar - His fitness has gone downhill over the past year, but if he can regain his fitness is going to be a very dangerous bowler in helpful conditions and a steady one on placid tracks. 4. Shami Ahmed - Is nippy and can get good movement. This FC season might turn out to be his breakthrough. 5. Varun Aaron - Largely untested and unproven with questionable fitness, but has a good inswinger and pace. Worth an investment given the basics. 6. Ishwar Pandey - Really impressed by his outswinger which leaves the batsman very late, gets good bounce due to his height, and has a natural length which is quite full for a tall bowler. Bowls quite a few lose balls, which needs to be corrected. 7. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar - Brilliant swing bowler and if he had some proven international pedigree like Praveen would be higher up in the list. 8. Ishant Sharma - Despite the crap he had consistently delivered has a lot of good things most important of them being the ability to put in the hard yards and a terrific work ethic. It's questionable if he will make a tunraround, but has a lot of basic ingredients to be successful. 9. Irfan Pathan - Not as a test prospect for now, but a very good limited overs option given his ability with the bat. 10. Sandeep Sharma - Very impressive for someone so young. The upside for improving is immense.

Oops thought the OP was only for phaaasshht boilers. Anyhow, not much to report in the spin department except a proliferation of left arm darters, though I think Ojha is decent and Ashwin has the basics to be a success. My biggest disappointment has been Mishra - the guy has put on so much weight that the only pivot he gets is from his tyre.
