He seems to be mothballed for tests but as we've seen with Tendulkar and to a lesser extent, Dravid, this is not necessarily a good thing. Will he ever make it to our ODI team and fit in?

There's always room for someone technically sound even if he can't always score at run a ball. He can be pushed way down the order at Indore but will serve a purpose in the team.

Unfortunately #5 seems to be best spot for Dhoni too. Dhoni should come at 4. He can build an innings around him and play bigt innings. He has shown that in two matches.

There has to be someone solid at the top who can bat for 10-15 overs against good bowling and not just throw their wicket away. We have the likes of Gambhir, Sehwag, Yuvraj at the top who have poor technique and temperament and who will continue to fail as long as there is something for the bowlers. He is also not a slow batsman as you may think by watching in tests. He scores at a fairly brisk pace in One day format.

The oldies should go.[/quote'] Need to see tiwary more, does not convince me against pacers. We also need to try some bew batsmen likes of Jeevanjot, Juneja, Reddy, Kedar, Tare, etc.
