The Outsider
Welcome to AVKC bro  you are now officially appointed as the club's junior member with a one month contract you will be promoted after this contract :nice: The founder of the club is quitting in a week or so and you guys are busy inducting new members. :hysterical: Link to comment
I6MTW
Any batsman would change their way of batting to suit the situation. He should have tried which he did not just what Gambhir did during the 2nd Test in Mumbai, wasn't hitting the ball nor farming the strike. Even Dravid hits out when its needed, this was poor stuff from Kohli. When Kohli cam they were not in a hit out or get out situation. They were still trailing. Then when they got the lead he kept losing partners so he couldn't settle and build a partnership. Toward the end he managed to hit a couple of boundaries. What more do you want from him? An Afridi-esque innings scoring 28 balls an over? Then Kohli is not cut out for that. Link to comment

The Outsider
we'll have new president:dontknow: But the founder's quitting has to do with the failure of the basic principles of the club - in fact the founder is so embarrassed at his fail that he is quitting not just the club but ICF as a whole.:sniffle: Link to comment

Number
Batting with the tail is a difficult skill to master..lets not be too harsh on Kohli. Even in ODIs he hasn't done that where he is one of the best batsman. Expecting that in tests where he hasn't even cemented his place is unrealistic. Since that Perth innings he should have been promoted where he was our best batsman running out of partners. Link to comment
Magneto
The founder of the club is quitting in a week or so and you guys are busy inducting new members. :hysterical: Yes, I'll have to quit now barring a miracle (The miracle being Kohli has to get out twice before managing 32 more runs, in fact, if Kohli bats only once in the 4th test and gets out at zero, he'll still manage more than 60). But I don't see how that changes things - AVKC will remain and the dedicated AKVC members will continue to monitor his performances. Link to comment
Magneto
he played this selfish to revenge our president  :agree: Getting me out of ICF was a bigger agenda for him than helping India achieve an emphatic whitewash. :(( We all know who to blame if this match ends up in a draw now. Link to comment

Nothing more. I may quit ICF but will still continue to be associated with the offline club that already has four branches. :finger: Link to comment

You are like the captain of a sinking ship who swims away but encourages others to stay on. Ever taken a bet in your life? You win some, you lose some. In fact, Kohli might still go for two ducks in the next two innings, and nothing may change. He played a good knock in the first Test, but the other two have been poor. The agenda of the club need not change, just because Kohli has scored some runs on a few pattas. Even Dhawan and Vijay made merry against this attack and two other batsmen scored double centuries. P.S. - I am just quitting ICF, not AVKC. Time for me to propagate the movement in some other sites. :giggle: Link to comment

Did he kick your dog or burn your house down? One would think youngsters like Kohli, Pujara, Rahane etc. make matches worth watching. How can an Indian cricket fan hate, "bet against" or hope for failure of one of the brightest young talents to come through :dontknow: Link to comment

AVKC was founded on ICF - ICF is the headquarters and it's founders vision has been smashed to pieces by the sensational batting of Kohli. The captain is jumping a sinking ship. No one asked to you make that bet, you made it unilaterally confident in your assessment of Kohli, but now that the ship is sinking you are looking for the nearest life boat. Link to comment

The ship is alive and kicking, and the next ten Tests will prove so. No one asked me to take that bet, but I am a punter, and keep taking such bets. I have another bet on Kohli running with another site member, and if I stay around, even that one will reach its logical conclusion. If you think Kohli's batting in this Test and the last one has been sensational, then I don't have much to say. :giggle: Link to comment
