Any batsman would change their way of batting to suit the situation. He should have tried which he did not just what Gambhir did during the 2nd Test in Mumbai, wasn't hitting the ball nor farming the strike. Even Dravid hits out when its needed, this was poor stuff from Kohli.

When Kohli cam they were not in a hit out or get out situation. They were still trailing. Then when they got the lead he kept losing partners so he couldn't settle and build a partnership. Toward the end he managed to hit a couple of boundaries. What more do you want from him? An Afridi-esque innings scoring 28 balls an over? Then Kohli is not cut out for that.

But the founder's quitting has to do with the failure of the basic principles of the club - in fact the founder is so embarrassed at his fail that he is quitting not just the club but ICF as a whole.:sniffle:

Even in ODIs he hasn't done that where he is one of the best batsman. Expecting that in tests where he hasn't even cemented his place is unrealistic. Since that Perth innings he should have been promoted where he was our best batsman running out of partners.

Yes, I'll have to quit now barring a miracle (The miracle being Kohli has to get out twice before managing 32 more runs, in fact, if Kohli bats only once in the 4th test and gets out at zero, he'll still manage more than 60). But I don't see how that changes things - AVKC will remain and the dedicated AKVC members will continue to monitor his performances. :bow:

:hysterical: Yeah right :agree: I would have loved to stick to this place and laugh at him after the South Africa series. The ship is alive and kicking, and the next ten Tests will prove so. No one asked me to take that bet, but I am a punter, and keep taking such bets. I have another bet on Kohli running with another site member, and if I stay around, even that one will reach its logical conclusion. If you think Kohli's batting in this Test and the last one has been sensational, then I don't have much to say. :giggle:
