Anti Virat Kohli Club

Around the age of 30 players will have peak maturity . Till such time his career is going to be up and down considering he is a vital component in the one day side. So his game is going to suffer a bit with his shot selections. He is not playing the ball late which is very vital in England compared to SA and OZ. You can't change muscle memory overnight. He is a sweet timer of the ball. He is used to meet the ball at certain points. It worked pretty much in all countries. In England it is not working. May be he could have tried changing something to his technique so that he gets the delayed effect. Those were all the job of Duncan Fletcher motu.

Wow, so till he becomes 30, he should be given a free run.:giggle: So according to you, let's not question him as he isn't mature and will just improve. Where do you get such assumptions. Sure, one series doesn't make one a terrible player but certainly questions can and should be raised about him.

make Vijay the captain.
Are you joking? We just don't want to remove Dhoni just for anybody to take over. It's not a lottery/lucky draw system for Indian captaincy. Dhoni should go but make an viable alternative first.

Not free run. But he had two good series in SA and NZ. Not the first guy to have an absolutely terrible series. Dravid averaged like 15 in Australia during his 1999 tour. He will come around. He is still the best batsman in India. Criticize him for poor performance . But use some cricketing sense to judge players not just statistics.

So you are still comparing Kohli with Dravid. How can you make such assumption. So tomorrow, if any other batsman fails, he will say the same thing, it's just one series even Dravid failed. For example. Mr Gambhir or even Dhawan. So I guess we should play Gambhir again in our next test series with such idea. Of course, Kohli is a good player and should be in our test team. I don't have any problem with that but I am problem when people do not want to recognize his failures. Instead would like to reward him with the Indian captaincy, rewarding the worst batsman of the series with captaincy, that's some such lahori logic.

Everyone has criticized Kohli. Infact he won the most useless player of series poll in the. ICF by handsome margin. But writing him off totally is a different thing. Who didn't,t criticize him? Pujara is next in line. Besides captaincy is about results not individual scores. When he was doing well we said captaincy will affect his form. Now we say he is not doing well so no captaincy. So dhoni is irreplaceable based on that?

In ODI's' date=' Kohli is very very good. Second best in the world after [b']Amla. In tests, there are probably 20+ batters around the world I'd rather have in my team than Kohli.
:hysterical: Hes not even Top5 in the world

Technique is shot. The bat coming down from 1st slip against the ball swinging away is inducing the edges. Shocked the technique remained the same through out the tour. No adjustments were made' date=' no attempt to play straighter. He didn't also know where his off-stump was, no idea how anyone can resolve that[/quote'] He did well to leave deliveries in SA.

What's wrong? He is a determined guy, proved a lots of people wrong, did well since his comeback to tests.

How low can you go? To be a captain material, at least have the individual scores. Now, we have a player who is struggling big time, but yet, you think that does not matter? I know you are a big Kohli fan, and I also admire Kohli. But he has struggled big time and thus, it is not a right time at all for him to be given the captaincy.

I would actually take Kohli over Amla anyday in ODI. I disagree that there are 20+ better batsmen over him in test, may be based on stats alone you are correct, but in 5 years time I am sure his average would be comparable to ATG's. I hope India keeps faith in him to bounce back...

What was that Dhoni doing to deserve his captaincy in the first place? What was his test record when he won the captaincy? What about Pujara? Basically Dhon is giong to be sitting on his ass with a record of 13 losses in 17 matches because there is no alternative? Crazy. Captaincy never worked that way. Kapil was ace player in 1983 test series when India lost to West Indies. But he lost his captaincy anyway.

In SA and in Aus last 2 tests he played a lot the straighter. Here his bat's face opening towards covers. Something really got messed up.

Yes, Dravid, Sachin got their reputations jsut like that on flat conditions because of their inability to play swing :giggle: Even Bhuwneswar got 50s here so? You have no clue what you are even speaking about
Geez , whats with you every time some one takes Tendulkars name ? Dravid in SA and Tendulkar in England where never convincing when the bowling and pitch at where their best , but the reverse is true as well . Dravid was the best batsmen I have seen in England & Tendulkar was the best in SA of all the others who have toured .

He is certainly one of the top bats in ODIs along with Amla' date=' ABDV, and Dhoni.[/quote'] I cant think of one Knock where hes won a match for SA . Hes steady and consistent accumulates a lot of runs , but never threatens the opposition. SA lost a game recently due to his slow batting . Virat is in a league above any one else . Dhoni & ABDV are next .
