you dont necessarily need that lead do you ? its about winning this test match but we were in a defensive mode without declaring and going for that extra lead and more over that this guy was playing with no responsibility he simply wants to score as much as possible and stay not out till the end of the innings. thats not at all acceptable considering that aussies had the chance of batting for 3 sessions and enforce a draw p.s atleast he should have played it like an odi

What we don't need leads to win test matches :hysterical: The 91 run lead was a massive reason in us winning the match. If we were chasing 220 plus yesterday there would have been lot more pressure on us and we would have drawn most likely. And now trying to increase team lead is playing selfishly:cantstop:

of course it was but my question was whats the point in playing it safe for that 91 run lead. we were in the driver seat at that point and its our responsibility to play some positive cricket but the way we played it seemed as if we were trying to draw this match from a losing position. since we were going for a lead they really had opportunity to play out 3 sessions to enforce a draw so thats actually a defensive cricket irrespective of the match's result
