rkt.india Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 But not commercial t20 leagues like BPL' date=' SLPL,IPL,BBL etc.[/quote'] T20s are T20s whether it is BPL, IPL, SLPL or BBL. Their teams participate in CLT20 too. Most Saffer batsmen play in IPL as well.
I6MTW Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 If we play in rajkot every test match then jadeja will have average of 300. Indians do not play all matches in the same ground because of variety.
Precambrian Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 All these overreactions are just dumb' date='both india and australia are going through a trasiationary phase, they will struggle abroad to win matches.[/quote'] Aussie transition started in 07... 6 years and still going on?
harmuk Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Harbhajan' date=' Ishant, and Dinda need to be dropped.[/quote']Before anyone the mediocre Sehwag who is not even a FTB anymore, whose average in the 3rd and 4th innings is a whopping 30 over a career ranging 100 tests should be kicked out for good. Of course HS should never even be anywhere close to a Ranji XI let alone a Test XI. His closeness to Tendulkar gets him all these freebies at the cost of much deserving spinners like Ojha. So sad all these hogs are allowed to command a place in the Test side.
I6MTW Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Aussies since 2007 have lost atleast 15-20 mega super cricketer legends. Transition will last another couple more years.
I6MTW Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 We need to trade sachin for michael clarke. Let's see if aus will agree.
tweaker Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Sehwag should be dumped from 3rd test and Wassim Jaffer should be selected.
I6MTW Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Wasim Jaffer is older then sehwag. If we select him he will retire in 2 years then we will have to look for another opener.
rkt.india Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Harbhajan' date=' Ishant, and Dinda need to be dropped.[/quote'] What about Sehwag? How can you drop Dinda without being played? PS: Dinda's selection in itself was a mistake though.
Small_town_boy Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Ohja for harbhajan....ajinkya or gautham for shewag...other wise the team looks settled .. It is unlikely that they will change the team... But harbhajan and shewag don't deserve a place in the team ...
The Outsider Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 What about Sehwag? How can you drop Dinda without being played? PS: Dinda's selection in itself was a mistake though. I would give Sehwag the entire series. He is too good a player to be discarded so easily. Unfortunately with Jadeja playing, the option of him moving to the middle order is closed as well with numbers 3-5 settled and Dhoni coming in at 6. As you said selecting Dinda was a mistake and it's never too late to rectify a mistake.
kooljatt Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 If we win the 3rd test then I hope Rahane gets a chance to play & someone like tendulkar gets rested. Otherwise, I don't see any changes in this settled batting line up, although I still believe Sehwag & Gambhir is best opening pair for India. Bowling wise, I'm not an expert but if Ishant is going to bowl 4-5 overs per test, we rather play an extra batsman or some rookie leg spinner. Is there any young & upcoming leg spinner playing Ranji (apart from Mishra & Chawla ) ?

rkt.india Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Pls find a leg spinner. Saw a few decent leg spinners in UCC.
cowboysfan Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Aussie transition started in 07... 6 years and still going on? Its difficult to replace the greatest test team in the world of all time.
tweaker Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Shane Watson David Warner Ed Cowan Michael Clarke Usman Khwaja Mathew Wade Glen Maxwell Mitchell Johnson Nathan Lyon Mitchell Starc James Patinson
I6MTW Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Shane Watson David Warner Ed Cowan Michael Clarke Usman Khwaja Mathew Wade Glen Maxwell Mitchell Johnson Nathan Lyon Mitchell Starc James Patinson This seems like the best lineup. Except I'd replace Maxwell.
