CG Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Harmeet Singh is an option for ODI's eventhough it may be a bit early atm. Would rather have him get a shot than Chawla, Mishra etc. Let him play Fc ,On these pitches It might kill his talent and turn in to another darter.
Sid Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Kohli and Dhoni were saving this batting side on flat tracks for sometime..now that Kohli isn't scoring big we are struggling Dhoni being the man in form should be batting at 3 or 4 not any lower..only he looks like he can bat through the innings right now..let others bat around him I actually blame Dhoni for todays loss.We could have still chased this , had he stayed till the end and not attempted that shot at that moment as he aknowledged himself in the presentation.Cant believe we lost against a team with such a poor bowling attack. Our team has become so ****

Sid Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I blame Dhoni' date=' for not coming in earlier, even at number 3.[/quote'] Nope am okay with his role and number in the team.
jairamesh Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Nope am okay with his role and number in the team. His normal role and number is okay. But extenuating circumstances would call for him to be flexible, Kohli out of form, Yuvi blowing out and cold, and Dhoni himself in good form...chasing big score, it was ideal for him to come in at number 3 today after decent opening partnership and ball's shine gone.

May be he thought Kohli could come in form on this dead flat track but sadly he couldnt :hehe:
vvvslaxman Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Ashwin was below par. Having said that.> Treadwell is joke of a spinner to get this much respect from our batsmen.
Sid Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Ashwin was below par. Having said that.> Treadwell is joke of a spinner to get this much respect from our batsmen. Our batsmen are no less than jokes these days :giggle:
bear23 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Ashwin was below par. Having said that.> Treadwell is joke of a spinner to get this much respect from our batsmen. i don't think ashwin was below par. that is his level.
vayuu1 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 These chennai superfarting kings are really destroying Indian cricket , dhobi's captainship, his lover jaddu's batting , asswin's slow bowling ,can't bowl, can't field and top of all that maankey *ss srini with his greed not to forget Chilikunt and his sambhar fumes , which he farts on channels, these days.
Number Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Raina, Trdewell, Root and Jadeja did well on this pitch. Surely ball was stopping.
Cricket Tragic Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Needs to be dropped now..Give Mishra a go' date= may bowl worse than Ashwin but I would still take that..and both are equally bad fielders No, just no.
indiaregulator Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 To be fair, Tredwell is a better spinner than Patel, Root, Raina and Jadeja. 10 10 468 381 15 4/44 4/44 25.40 4.88 31.2 Very decent ODI figures.
vandokkum Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 This is what happens to bowlers like Mendis, Narine and now Ashwin in formats other than t20 where mystery and variations don't get you wickets consistently.

Funny how you include Raina in it. He is crap. Gambhir or Sehwag inform can have him dropped from the side any day. At the current form even I can spin and get our batsmen out, you don't need a specialist bald spinner for that.
Yoda-esque Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Both Ashwin and Jadeja are substandard and need to go. Ashwin's variations only would work in T20.Even there,he'll be tonked off. As for Jadeja, hes a bits n pieces player.T20 imports are a big :fail: We need a few big hitters at the top,get rid of GG and have MSD open 1 down or so.
Lord Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Raina' date=' Trdewell, Root and Jadeja did well on this pitch. Surely ball was stopping.[/quote'] Ashwin himself was stopping:cantstop:

Yoda-esque Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 who'd be ur two spinners Get some proper spinners for God's sake. Raina and UV can be the part time ones.
