The sham called 2015 WC preparation

When we were in Australia, he talked of a rotation policy to give youngsters a chance to 'prepare for the 2015 WC' and here we are 3- 1 up in a series and yet we areplaying nearly the same team that hs played the last 5-6 games. So is the team not preparing for 2015 WC anymore? Not giving a chance to Pujara is inexplicable and utterly shameful. Shame on Dhoni.

He was in such good form, warms the benches for 5 ODIs, doesnt get to play for his Ranji side either and now will hve no more FC cricket left. Dont be surprised if he has lost his form as well, the same thing which happened with Rahane,

This seriously stinks. Forget even preparation for WC 2015, anyone in there right mind would have sent Pujara and Rahana to Ranji final fully knowing they won't get a game.

Aakash Chopra ✔ @cricketaakash We lose, we don't change. We win, we don't change. Even in a dead rubber, we don't change. Are we really going through transition?

there is no accountability and planning for the future, there is gangland mentality with Dhoni as the ring master.

Dhoni did not want Pujara in the ODI team. Even after he was included his comment was that he is not sure where Pujara fits in the batting line up.

Opening where else? The most solid batsman we have in India right now. You need a sheet anchor. Kohli, Rahane, Tiwary all bat like sheet anchor but does not have the tight game that is needed for a sheet anchor.

Really no need to overthink. Surely your best Test batsman should be playing one days. And that nearly run-a-ball triple century in a recent Ranji game should be merit enough.

i dont know why the bcci did not release pujara to play the ranjis same with rahane. these two are simply rotting on the bench when they could be getting valuable game time

Yuvraj will most probably not play 2015 world cup.. whats the point of playing him in ODI's? I hope India moves on atleast after champions trophy

I don't necessarily agree with the policy of preempting the player won't be around for next World Cup so permanently drop him now. Just select players on merit. If a player looks drastically out of sorts or out of form after several games then drop him. And right now Gambhir is a prime candidate for being dropped in all forms. Yet he continues to open across all formats, in hope of finding "form". He plays in important games because of experience, he plays then he plays dead rubbers to search for form. But then again if the selectors keep on bringing back Rohit and Ishant, then they would be hypocrites to drop Gambhir, selectors and Dhoni:hehe:

Gambhir's head has rolled unless he performs against Aussies... What I meant was in the dead rubber, we could have tried Pujara, a better batsman than yuvraj for these conditions
