Malcolm Merlyn Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Saw him bowl in and around 150s in last two matches in Australia. Is he the fastest around these days? I am only talking speed so dont bring anything else.
NareshK Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I saw a little bit of the 4th ODI and Best was clocking up to 150 every ball but he didnt look that quick to me somehow. Mitchell Starc also bowls 145+ and close to 150.
JaFanatic Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 if a bowler can swing and seam the ball at 120k with control i will take him anyday :D
Trichromatic Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 if a bowler can swing and seam the ball at 120k with control i will take him anyday :D I am only talking speed so dont bring anything else. :protest:
rkt.india Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Shaun Tait still plays league cricket does not bowl that quick.
rkt.india Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 if a bowler can swing and seam the ball at 120k with control i will take him anyday :D every bowler in the world can do that.
JaFanatic Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Shaun Tait still plays league cricket thread is about the current fastest bowlers overall tait definitely is quicker than best currently no. not to forget yadav outpaced tait in the last IPL he was fastest in last season on topic: best is the fastest bowler atm :agree:
JaFanatic Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Clocked 153k v sl so what ? aaron ishant yadav all have done that :proud:
shuraim Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 mitchel jhonson clocked at 149.something .stark 146 in second match.
Lord Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 does not bowl that quick. there is difference of speed guns too.Aussie speed guns seem quicker.did Tait play BBL?
JaFanatic Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 there is difference of speed guns too.Aussie speed guns seem quicker.did Tait play BBL? speed gun theory :giggle:
panther Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 there is difference of speed guns too.Aussie speed guns seem quicker.did Tait play BBL? + 10 ishant clocking 150+ on aussie speeds guns barely crosses 145 on indian speed guns.
rkt.india Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 there is difference of speed guns too.Aussie speed guns seem quicker.did Tait play BBL? Speed guns were alright. Tait did play BBL.
rkt.india Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 + 10 ishant clocking 150+ on aussie speeds guns barely crosses 145 on indian speed guns. Ishant is a rhythm bowler. his speeds can vary 10 kph in a single over. He clocked 150 even in India in IPL but it depends on his rhythm and action to come right.
rkt.india Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Best did look quicker than any. He beaten them with sheer pace.
shuraim Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Umar Gul is also rhythmic bowler.he bowled at 147 to 149 against newzeland in 2011 world cup and even outpace Akhtar.but in South Africa he is bowling now at 127 to 137.average 130.very bad rhythmic bowler ever we ha
CG Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 there is difference of speed guns too.Aussie speed guns seem quicker.did Tait play BBL? Its not diff of speed guns more the measuring technique. Some channels Measure speeds when the ball hits the ground and some measure from the hand of the bowler .So obviously Speed from release is greater so there is percieved speed diff between various channels.
SLICKR392 Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Shaun Tait still plays league cricket He has decreased his speed. Bowls at mid 140s now.
