sanjay1964 Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 sidarth kaul is very impressive.he can swing the ball on both side like bhuvi.with the sucsess of bhuvi it is very sure that kaul will get the same if he will get the chance.kaul can also riverse swing and use very good yorkers.that can useful in the death over.he has good speed like 135+ i have the video of his bowling in ranji against saurashtra.only need to continue this talent.he is now 23.selectors should give him chance on the right time.when india need for good wicket taker bowler.
G_B_ Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 he has played 12/13 ranji games. Lets not make the same mistake we made with Aaron. Give him a test after only a few games.
Old guy Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 needs one more season to me he was the most impressive pacer of this season.. im sure he will do well in ipl and aaron comparison is wrong as he never really performed well at first class level ..but yes one more good season will certainly develop him more over we dont have to worry abt patta tracks as he plays for punjab so it should not hurt him
tweaker Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 What i have heard of Sidharth Kaul, he seems to be good.I hope he is given a chance when he is in form.
Ultimate_Game Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 How is he when the ball stops swinging (or doesn't swing) and with the old ball?
rkt.india Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 How is he when the ball stops swinging (or doesn't swing) and with the old ball? He is quicker than what batsmen think, looks sharp on eyes. He was clocked quickest at 142 in the Ranji match and was reversing the old ball well both ways. He is still not a finished article. He will still gain pace and needs to play one more good season of FC cricket and A tours. He should be on A tour to SA. I hope selectors dont send Vinay Kumars and Mithuns there.
express bowling Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Kaul moves the ball at good pace. Has a good yorker.

A tours should be for upcoming youngsters on fringes of selection, and not for has beens who have no hope of improving. I'm not too concerned about the top speed but average speed the bowler is able to hold up over a spell. No point in having an odd ball touch 140 and rest of the deliveries in 120 kph range. Would rather have a bowler who's consistently in mid to late 130s even though he rarely goes higher.
express bowling Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Yeah, Kaul looks visually sharp and hurries batsmen consistently.
gakgupta Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 bhuvi spend lot of time in domestic cricket.....sid has only one complete season....let him spend time and learn the trade....no hurry
rkt.india Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 bhuvi spend lot of time in domestic cricket.....sid has only one complete season....let him spend time and learn the trade....no hurry BK is still younger than Kaul.

His last delivery of first day Ranji SF was a yorker clocked at 139K that is when he had bowled a lot of overs whole day.

rkt.india Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Good signs if he continues in the same vein. Good thing about him is since U19 WC in 2008 when I last saw him, he has improved tremendously and despite being hampered with injuries after his debut season in 2007 at 17 years of age, the way he has come back after 5 years with such improvement is commendable and shows he has the determination to come good and continue to learn and get better.
MCcricket Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 He should be included in A tour for sure, Anwar Ahmed is one bowler I wanna see being picked up with Suyal instead of the mediocre Mithun n Vinay
wanted_desi Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 He is the best seamer in India who hasn't played a match.
suraj Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Are we going to have a thread for every Indian person alive??
Old guy Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Are we going to have a thread for every Indian person alive?? why not ? better then thread for every action he take or every time he comes in news or plays a match
PBN Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Mandeep sees Kaul as a bright prospect :D Follow Sid Kaul on Twitter @sidkaul22
fineleg Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Who is Mandeep!?? (I know who he is, just saying an endorsement from him is not a shining one all by itself....Its not like SRT or Dravid endorsing) Hope Kaul is sent on A-tour. I hope BCCI does not send the Vinay Kumar, A.Mithun and A.Dinda to A-tours!!!
