Lord Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 KXIP also add the left arm medium pacer' date=' Aniket Choudhary, who plays for Rajasthan..[/quote'] thats good,he was mentioned a while back as a prospect on ICF:two_thumbs_up:
PBN Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 thats good' date='he was mentioned a while back as a prospect on ICF[/quote'] Being a lefty, I suppose he can utilize the natural angle with the ball going away from the right handed batsmen, and could trouble the batsmen with his accuracy and a bit of swing. Not a bad pick, let's see how it goes.

PBN Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 He is tall too AFAIK.should get bounce in Mohali n Dharamsala yeah, there are quite a few videos on youtube [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ryy08JGGMjQ]Aniket Choudhary the only wicket taker in day 2 (Irani Cup 2012) - YouTube[/ame] willow video, might neeed a proxy perhaps
Kush_soni Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 KXIP also add the left arm medium pacer' date=' Aniket Choudhary, who plays for Rajasthan..[/quote'] Yeah... i being from rajasthan have seen his almost all domestic matches, and i m preety impressedwith his bowling capabilities. His fastest ball was 140.1 kph in this ranji season against bengal. Trust me, his in-swingers from over the wicket have thrashed wickets of many batsmen badly... He is young with excellent fitness level. With 6'4" tall height & impressive bowling action he can do great in his career... Best f Luck to the Young Champ...
Magneto Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 If PWI shifts city, I am not supporting them anymore. Let them rename themselves 'Kanpur Kachras'. :beee: I'll support either CSK or Pwnjab Kitties this season. :two_thumbs_up:
SLICKR392 Posted February 21, 2013 Author Posted February 21, 2013 Punter to lead MI According to CI Twitter. ESPNcricinfo @ESPNcricinfo Mumbai Indians name Ricky Ponting as their captain for IPL 2013. Sachin Tendulkar will play under him.
1983-2011 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Punters dethroned tendya then in his home city
G_B_ Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Punters dethroned tendya then in his home city more than dethroned Sachin just does not want to responsibility. Its mixed news to be honest. Pointing will have to play. which takes up one of the foreign players spots and quite frankly he is not a good t20 player. Malinga takes another , Pollard takes one leaving 1 for mostly Maxwell so MI will mostly be Sachin Ponting Rayadu Sharma Pollard Maxwell D Kartick Bhajji Kulkarni/ (Ojha) Munaf Malinga that looks like a poor team to me personally.
Small_town_boy Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 So one foreign player place wasted ...3 to go...:p
kubrickian Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Why not Bhajji ? MI won Champions League under him. :hmmm:
Clarke Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 So one foreign player place wasted ...3 to go...:p 2 actually, they will have to play the million dollar duck farmer by virtue of his price.
kubrickian Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 2 actually' date=' they will have to play the million dollar duck farmer by virtue of his price.[/quote'] What a dumb investment. As bad as Daniel Christian for DC  :hysterical:
yoda Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Smart move, proven captain, only issue is can he adjust to the format given that he hasn't played many T20s. If he can translate his ODI experience and adjust to T20, this can be good for MI for a few years.
Vivek.S.123 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Hopefully Nohit Sharma will learn a thing or 2 from Punter.
PBN Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Another Ganguly in the making or Punter will be able to adapt better? Atleast half of the games would be in Mumbai so if he opens, he'll get to face pace compared to the slowish tracks of Kolkata. One thing is certain though. Aussies are treated royally in the IPL i.e sheer number of Aussie players, Aussie Captains, Aussie coaches and supporting staff.
