It's their failure as a leadership group as well if the vice captain is suddenly announcing his retirement from cricket.

Its hard to maintain your form when you are not getting exposed to top quality cricket. Your fitness wears down, the same way it happened with gilly

But Watson will play in many t20 leagues and domestic cricket throughout the year. So he will be in touch.
