But he won't be my top pick for a one-off winner takes it all match as he does have a knack of pressure getting the better of him. If you follow American football I would equate Tendulkar with Peyton Manning - one of the greatest players to play the game, racks up big numbers but when the moment arrives he's not the same player. Why not Tom Brady? The guy hasn't won **** since the spygate scandal and have lost a lot of crucial playoff games at home.

Even then if you could have a choice between Brady and Manning as a QB in a playoff whom would you pick? Compare their nos. in playoffs and you will see the difference. Manning has thrown more ints than TDs in playoffs. One more thing... Tyree doesn't make that helmet circus catch or Welker makes that gimme last year and Brady has 5 rings. Point is Brady's production doesn't drop off in playoffs but when you look at Manning, it almost looks like "regular season Manning" and "Playoff Manning" are two different players.

If Gilchrist and Tendulkar are playing, there's no room for Jayasuriya. I would rather have someone like Ponting or Hussey or a specialist batsman in his stead. Also, you have a longish tail. I would drop either Murali or Warne and add another all-rounder.

He had like 6 touchdowns against Tebow's *****y team but when it came against the Ravens, he sucked by throwing two interceptions and only got to the superbowl because of a billy cundiff fg miss and jones dropped catch. I have made it clear that in a one-off game Bevan and Dhoni would be picked in my team but Tendulkar wouldn't. Obviously I wouldn't have Bevan or Dhoni open the batting as they are middle order batsmen but if you are given a choice "you can have either Tendulkar or Dhoni/Bevan for this WC final game" I would prefer to have Dhoni/Bevan ahead of Tendulkar. Nowhere have I said Bevan/Dhoni are better odi openers than Tendulkar. All I'm saying is that to me Bevan/Dhoni will bring more value as a player at their positions than Tendulkar would in his if we had to play a one-off match.

Given as he always looks to start off strong and put pressure on the opposition and look to add runs to the total very quickly. Ponting was never really a specialist ODI Bat. He could just play an odd innings here and there. He was good but just like every other player who could play the game. He wasn't exceptional. Hussey maybe but then Sehwag would be a better bat then him.

Actually football season officially kicked off on March 12th :winky: And you missed my point by ignoring the drop offs in playoff & regular season for Manning & Brady. Brady stil puts up similar nos. in playoffs as he does in regular season, whereas Manning looks like a different player altogether with more ints to show than TDs. Don't think Manning ever was helmet cricus catch away from a ring either. And Jacoby Jones didn't drop that ball, the Pats DB stripped it off him before Jacoby Jones could have control of the ball. As for missed FG, it would have taken the game in OT, not won the game for Ravens.

Viv, as great as he was, ultimately had 3-4 jaw-dropping years and the rest were ordinary. The same is true in Tests as well as ODIs and as such, Sachin wins, simply because Sachin has been a worldclass/great performer from the age of 18 to 38, thats two decades. Viv on the other hand, ceased performing like a great batsman a good 7-8 years before he finally retired. Therfore, the fact that Sachin has performed through a much greater timespan, puts him ahead of Viv.
