C. If the case is A, they need not retire. They may be dropped but it's their choice if they want to go to domestic and look to regain his form.

i think a player should retire when he stops contributing to the team and there is a better option available. but that's for players only not for God of Cricket :hatsoff:

It's for a player to decide when to retire as personal situations vary. Selectors should have the guts to drop players who aren't contributing consistently or who are well past their prime.
