No one wants Rahul Gandhi as PM, the illiterate India (one way or another) want Sonia Gandhi as PM. Rahul Gandhi is just a decoy. This moron would even be able lead a blind flock of grannies.

India is one of the examples of where a parliamentary democracy can lead to pseudo-autocracy, in a scenario where democratic parties are ultimately centered around 'cults of personalities' like the Gandhis. Ultimately, only one nation had the foresight to prevent this, by seperating the legislative and the executive at the highest branch of the government: USA. It is only in the American model, where, the party is elected to legislature independently of the Premiere (President)with a limited term, as opposed to just a party being elected, who once elected are free to choose anyone (aka the same person) as their representative of the Primier (the Indian/Canadian and virtually all british based model governments), that ensures dynastic politics are curbed to a relatively harmless status. This is pretty much the reason why the Gandhis of the American politics, the Kennedys, have weilded nowhere close to the same level of power the Gandhi family has over the eras. Unfortunately, the politically fragmented landscape of India, while a blessing in disguise for 'balancing' the centrifugal forces of Indian society,is a curse in terms of constitutional change required to rectify this.
