oneANDone Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 When the last time auction in 2011 team owners fought for Indian players and eventually bought much much more than they deserved for the likes of Irfan Pathan ~ 2 million :hysterical: Yousuf Pathan ~ 2 million :hysterical: These guys ended up just jokers more than 4 or 5 teams needed a indian captain, if Dhoni put into auction what will be his worth?
Sidhoni Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 I can't imagine what will his price be after looking at the price at which Sir Ravindra Jadeja was bought for.
diga Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 sreeni mama will come out with fresh rules to retain Dhoni at CSK... After another 4-5 years Dhoni will retire
Sidhoni Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 sreeni mama will come out with fresh rules to retain Dhoni at CSK... After another 4-5 years Dhoni will retire Fresh rules? Aren't the rules for retaining already there? That is why Dhoni, Raina, Vijay and Morkel were retained by CSK before IPL 4.
diga Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Fresh rules? Aren't the rules for retaining already there? That is why Dhoni, Raina, Vijay and Morkel were retained by CSK before IPL 4. Next year, everybody is supposed to comeback into the auction pool... no retentions
rkt.india Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Gayle, KP, Malinga, Narine, Dale Steyn will be the biggest picks.
diga Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Gayle' date=' [b']KP, Malinga, Narine will be the biggest picks. Higly doubt KP & Malinga
Sidhoni Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Next year' date=' everybody is supposed to comeback into the auction pool... no retentions[/quote'] Interesting!
oneANDone Posted April 12, 2013 Author Posted April 12, 2013 Next year' date=' everybody is supposed to comeback into the auction pool... no retentions[/quote'] Is it official?
someone Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Next year' date=' everybody is supposed to comeback into the auction pool... no retentions[/quote'] Well, that was the case as well in 2010 auctions but at the end, IPL changed the rules. I expect similar thing where certain players will be allowed to be retained. Actually, that's not a bad move as it brings loyalty into the game which is always good.
diga Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Is it official? nobody knows about the rules until they are framed :hysterical:
Executioner Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 I think there will be a retention policy which will allow teams to retain some of their present players. CSK-dhoni,raina SRH-Steyn MI-Malinga, pollard RCB-Kohli, Gayle, ABDV KKR- None dont know about other franchises
Pagalpanti Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Player retention has to be there. 4 is good, like last time around in 2010
oneANDone Posted April 12, 2013 Author Posted April 12, 2013 Thread getting derailed already  can someone post how much he worth in action?
Zap_Brannigan Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Next year' date=' everybody is supposed to comeback into the auction pool... no retentions[/quote'] Nope..Its just that IPL 1 and IPL 4 started with 3 year contracts, as that was the mandatory period. So every 3 years, all the contracts end and hence most of the players will be put back into the auction. There should be a retention system in place. It makes no sense to disturb your core every 3 years.
kubrickian Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Next year' date=' everybody is supposed to comeback into the auction pool... no retentions[/quote'] If you keep changing all the players, you will completely lose your fan base. There is no point in following these teams anymore. Dumb feckers dont know how to run this whole thing. Dalit Modi was way better.
