puneet28 Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Almost every foriegn captain is misfiring. I don't know why all these team select a overseas captain. That blocks one spot out of 4.
I6MTW Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Atleast Gilchrist is captaining well and keeping is excellent. And he will fire soon with the bat as well.
puneet28 Posted April 16, 2013 Author Posted April 16, 2013 Mathews, Sanga, Mahela all out of form. They need to drop themselves.
yoda Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Mathews is the worst, closely followed by Sanga/Jaya and then Gilly due his total non-performance with the bat.
maniac Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Sanga has been a decent captain....Played to his team's strength that is bowling, his form has let him down, having said that he needs to make way for 'thecock' and pappu needs to make way eventually for the returning 'theone'

The Outsider Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Gilchrist is doing an excellent job behind the stumps and is captaining the side well like last year. His batting is poor, but he is bound to strike in 2-3 games in the season and at least he does not waste any deliveries at the top of the order like Ponting and Sangakkara.

Executioner Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 jaya has done good in 1 or 2 matches, but everyone else has been horrible with the bat.

Crookbond Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Steve Smith should captain the puppies. If Matthews does not agree, shift all home games to Chennai.

someone Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Sanga deserves huge credit for leaving himself out. Wish some other captains did that. Ganguly perhaps was the worst in this. Selfish.

Crookbond Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Matthews is just a darker version of Rajat Bhatia. I would take him over Bhatia any day - at least Bhatia hits some sixes/fours. He can also win you Kingfisher Fairplay Awards (unlike Matthews - who doesn't even know whether to bat/field at the toss) - shown by the fact how he separated Gambhir-Kohli confrontation. Matthews is a burden on not just IPL but international cricket.
