G_B_ Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 yadav,bhuvan/pk and shami /or any bowler who goes on a tour and does well so 3rd seamer can be kulkarni,shami or pandey pandey will be best option as he is tall bowler who does not just relies on swing hits the deck and will extract something from tracks when other too bowlers who depend on swing go flat.. fair enough. I wonder why Punkaj is not getting a chance in the ipl
msb1991 Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Dhawal has been good for years in IPL. He just never got a consistent slot in the team. He is a good First Class performer and I think he should be an India A regular. There are definitely worse options for the ODI team too. Cannot underestimate the effect of swing, it can be destructive.

I think we have plenty of better options than Ishant now and it is a shame the selectors stick with Ishant just because he does okay. I think we have a group of people where it is possible we will find one or two who will be better than okay.

I think we have a group of people where it is possible we will find one or two who will be better than okay. agree..ahmed is kind of bowler who will do better on those helpful tracks specially in tests anyway one will do better then ishant thats not even a debate anymore its just mattter of picking anyone ahead of him

For some reason he's been ignored despite doing very well in the few chances he got last year, 3 wickets each in two matches he played. Used the bounce on the track and some swing on offer greatly. Hopefully MI give him a few more matches this season.
