someone Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Does anyone remember Manish Pandey? He was once a 19th year old boy and scored a hundred at IPL in SA. Everyone though he was the real thing and wanted him instantly in Indian National squad. Yet, today he is basically nowhere to be seen. (Pune bench) Let's not start to be too overly optimistic. One more thing that India needs to do is if it gives any youngsters a chance, it has to be for the playing XI not the squad.

He has good potential and will make money too from ipl just needs to keep doing well and one day play for india What exactly has he done wrong now? Had a decent 1st class season, did very well in dometsic one dayers . Yes has failed in IPL, but thts not the end of the world.

But an 18 year old doing and playing in manner he has is very exciting. Plus he has done it in 3 or 4 different innings, not just one. ONE TO WATCH

Yes has failed in IPL, but thts not the end of the world.[/quote'] nothing just way to much hype he has done very well for 19 year old and i have always said this but just see posts like he is hack over hyped etc etc in every thread ..everytime he fails thats wht im saying .. even this guy is doing very well for his age now peole will hype him and if he fails in future like most youngsters do there wil be posts like another ipl hack ,move on :winky:

After hitting that IPL hundred, scored nearly a 1000 runs in the domestic season that followed. Last 2 years, has been hampered with lots of injuries. At 23, still has age on his side to comeback to the reckoning.

There are very few batsmen in India who can play proper cricketing shot and score runs quickly in T20s. Pandey is one of the most successful FC batsman in India. Valthaty never did much at FC level.
Sachinism Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Fair enough he scored runs, but his go to shot is a swipe to cow, may work on the roads laid out during Ranji games, but come on a pitch that's doing a bit and its a different story.

Pandey is one of the most successful FC batsman in India. Valthaty never did much at FC level. yeah i have noticed this in this forum people just want to write of pandey without looking at his stats or innings he played did he not play one of the best inning this year in ranji? even though ended in losing side?
