Rocky Balboa Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Cmon guys. Post Indian players who does well in IPL matches and gives an illusion that he has talent but sucks at the international lever. I will start first. Rohit sharma Murali Vijay..
G_B_ Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 this season i would say Mooli is not even an ipl legend
vvvslaxman Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Vijay sucked in IPL this season :hmmm: Did well in internationals this year though.
Sachin=GOD Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Rohit Sharma is the most talented young batsman in India and he should be in the Test team - I've been saying this for a long time. Lets see when he gets into the Test side.
veer Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 ^^ loads of talent but proven failure at international stage.. dont know where is the disconnect.
Sachin=GOD Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 ^^ loads of talent but proven failure at international stage.. dont know where is the disconnect. IMO he is best suited to Test cricket but he hasn't been given chances there.
Rocky Balboa Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 Wht abt Vinny koomaaar?. Highest wicket taker this year but proven failure at the international level.
vvvslaxman Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 ^^ loads of talent but proven failure at international stage.. dont know where is the disconnect. Seriously flawed technique in defense and outside the off stump. He is good in hitting sixes and fours of loose ball. That's it.
Detonator Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Mooli is hit in last test series.. flop in this ipl..
Silva Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Check out sharmas record in world t20s. http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/records/averages/batting.html?id=89;team=6;type=trophy He's only been a flop in ODIs. In IT20 he's been pretty good.
cricketman Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 You are saying this after Vijay scored buckets of runs against Australia in TEST cricket....
yoda Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Guess all those runs by Vijay against Australia were scored in some minor league tournament. :hahaha:
Vilander Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 oh really... there was this small matter of tests against aus in which vijay scored just a couple of 150s totally sucked true..cause its just test cricket... yup. ok
Executioner Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 vijay performed against Australia in a test series. Vijay >> Nohit
maniac Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 vijay performed against Australia in a test series. Vijay >> Nohit Rohit hasn't played a test match yet FYI In ODI's and T20I Rohit>>>>>>>>Vijay
G_B_ Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 oh really... there was this small matter of tests against aus in which vijay scored just a couple of 150s totally sucked true..cause its just test cricket... yup. ok he averages 38 with the bat in tests and is a failure in the ODIs and T20s based on the ones he has played. Thats hardly "legend" material. In the tests his home record v Aus is great. But nothing more apart from that. The probability is high that he will goto south africa and that average will come down below 35. Rohit sharma has a solid international T20 record. Go check if you want to so its no surprise that he does well in the IPL. I would say Rohit does well in T20 cricket in general. International matches Rohit's T20 record is 30 average strike rate 130 IPL matches his record is average 34.5 and a strike rate 132 I would say Rohit is transferring his IPL form to his international game. The same cannot be said about Mooli. The IPL is a T20 tournament. It would be foolish to compare it to tests.
