The entire thing stinks. Let’s start with the process. So only a captain is allowed to vote. Who does the captain represent? Is it just his thoughts? Or the collective voice of his team or his board? If its the team, then did he talk to each and everyone of them? If it just his thoughts, then why is a captain of a cricket team on-field allowed to represent players off the field? FICA is raising a big issue about how BCCI exerted pressure on other boards but did the same with the Aus, Eng, SA captains. Only they call it lobbying. And about conflict of interest, I am not sure how a FICA head (which represents only 5 boards) deny having conflict of interest with a post that represents all 10 boards. If a situation arises that is good for Aus but bad for WI players, does he represent FICA or ICC? In this sense, a BCCI paid commentator is a much better choice commentary has nothing to do with his ICC job. Both parties are in the wrong. Only one is being a sour loser.

Srinivasan has everything to do with this, quite pathetic behavior by the BCCI. No doubt the other boards are also pussies but BCCI as a bully (in particular since the time headed by Srinivasan) can't be discounted.
