What is the point of investigating Sakshi here? Firstly, Vindoo only knew some bookies, it is possible for anyone to know any bookie as a friend. Amit Singh was also a bookie, whom Dravid knew. Does that mean we have to question Dravid? Secondly, Vindoo was just sitting next to Sakshi in an IPL match. There must be someone sitting on Vindoo's right as well, why not question that person? Or for that matter, why not question everyone who has been in touch with Vindoo for the duration of the IPL?
Being in touch with someone who the police suspect could be involved in the racket. Better to be thorough in the investigation.

Lol at the idea that legalization of betting will solve it. It's the same thing for rapes, the legalization of prostitution will not solve it.
Legalizing betting will not solve it, but likely to reduce it. Think this way. Who are the people most likely to know or have information about spot fixing? The insiders - the bookies, the players, and the betters. Since betting is illegal in India, any better who comes to know of foul play is unlikely to seek police help or voluntarily provide any kind of information to the police fearing that he would be prosecuted. If betting is legal, the insiders would be informing the police as soon as they suspect or know anything about spot fixing.

I guess this is what happens when previously humble guys from modest backgrounds hit fame/riches and turn into divas. They become their own biggest threat. When sreesanth came onto the scene in 2005, he was the prime example of a traditional south Indian Guy - simple and unassuming. He would address all the seniors in the team as. 'Sir' I guess the fame and fortune that came with the ipl and international Cricket was his downfall. When he mock applauded the umpire for no balling him in ipl 2008, that was probably the first sign of the train going off the tracks. And then came news of one temper tantrum after another. I don't mean to disparage sreesanth's parents at all, but I have always believed that as long as your upbringing is sound, you will never waver badly in your life. When sreesanth's father went to the press and blamed dhoni and bhajji in the immediate aftermath of the scandal, that is when I realized where his craziness was coming from. At the end of the day, we have to keep things in perspective - these guys fixed Cricket games. They didn't kill or hurt anyone. So there is no need to crucify them. Having said that, there's no place for these guys on a cricketing field anymore.

Sources add that the police say there is no evidence yet of fixing but of heavy betting. 8:10 am: In more shocking revelations in connection with the IPL spot-fixing scandal, arrested actor Vindoo Dara Singh has admitted to being in touch with a relative of the Chennai Super Kings franchise owner, according to sources. Sources say the Mumbai Police is probing how Vindoo had ready access to the CSK VIP box. Sources in the Mumbai Police now say that they are probing a Chennai link to the scandal. Sources say several calls made to a Chennai number are being probed.
It may not be fixing , still if related to betting also its illegal i guess :hmmm:
