All I know is that somehow he does not seem like the kind of person who can do it of his own volition. If only somehow he does not seem like the kind of person could be used as a defence in a court of law. The police claims to have audio transcripts over 2 months of conversations and IM messages between players and the bookies. That itself is quite compelling evidence of his willing involvement.

But police won't touch ppl of that profile if they dont have enough evidence. Honestly speaking I took sreesanth as immature but not somebody who could be in this mess. I wish very much that he comes clean though mind says otherwise,sadly.
maniac Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Here is what shady about this whole deal Firstly these are the points I agree with 1)I agree Spot and Match-Fixing happens 2)I am sure there is a great chance that Sreeshanth and the other 2 guys are involved 3)Delhi Police-a very ineeficient and corrupt body cracks a very high profile case-Fai enough But what's minbdboggling is 1)Delhi Police making a statement that apart from these 3 every body else is clean 2)Calling Sreeshanth who was till recently part of the squad and only away due to injury as the king-pin 3)His name being involved after a moderately publicised twitter outburst 4)More Shady looking moments in the tournament given a clean-chit 5)The 3 players belonging to a smaller and comparitively less-influential franchise.

One thing Dehli Police does very well is tracking and catching Bookies and Fixing players. They might be inefficient in any other law maintenance operations but 'busting Match Fixing' is in their domain. The DP has had pertty bad publicity recently and the Commissioner is going to retire in few months. This was their best opportunity to hunt lost 'glory'... Whther they are efficient in Crime stopping or not but they do look forward to IPL every year to pull out few Rabbits out of their Hats using the IPL.. I think they'd details of other players too and especially the RP Singh spot fixing... They might've gone to BCCI/IPL with all the evidence and BCCI/IPL struck a deal with them, as they do every year. "You expose a particular set of players and look away from other players who are close to BCCI/IPL bigwigs"...You go to town EXPOSING one set of players who are expendable by BCCI but don't touch the other players who have right connections.. You hunt your glory but don't harm 'our set of players'...

Over step? It was a massive over step... Whats the harm in investigating him? Maybe he gave signals prior to bowling that noball.. I say investigate Bhajji too for his blatant legside wides which usually goes for 5 wides.. Why should you think those players be over board?
