The ball he took out Akmal, was an inswinger @ 142 kph, which would have made Akram proud. When he gets the ball to dart in, he is Wasim Akram clone. The most underrated bowler IMO.

hahahaha :hysterical: In all seriousness, he is the best fast bowling prospect we have had in a long time. In fact I would say that with ... Zaheer, Sreesanth, RP, and Pathan ... we are the new kings of swing. A mantle that was held by Pakistan in the 90s.

RP Swing ko to Mumbai Indians ne bhi apni CL squad me nahi liya. Dont know what is the reason. Toonaf is there and RP is any day better than Toonaf especially in SA. Maybe, he is injured. Pawan Suyal also flew to SA 2 days back for CLT20.

Saw him at the Bangalore airport a few days back. Must have been at the NCA for some rehab. IIRC he missed out on the WI A tour due to injury and wasn't named in any of the challenger squad either.

He was amazing in that T20 World Cup. But this is what happens when you play all your cricket on dry, slow, flat wickets in India without any swing and seam movement. You get tonked around by average batsmen and your confidence goes down and with the number of overs needed to be bowled to pick up wickets in Indian conditions, you are more prone to injuries. Selectors have to identify talents and take care of them. Only play them in conditions which are suitable to them like foreign tours and they could also do well in important international competitions.

I did not dislike him in the past, but it developed over time because of several things. I don't like his attitude. He could have been one of the best fast bowler we have produced with the kind of talent he had but he never justified. I pity he was blessed with such a talent just to ruin that. When I saw him first time against England, I was so excited just to be disappointed as he turned out to be a lazy guy who I guess fulfilled all his ambitions once he made it to the Indian team and never striven for excellence or become a better bowler, never really worked on his fitness, let go the talent he had, and became just another run of mill wasted talent.
