"Forgive me," Ashraful told reporters at his residence and confessed his involvement in match and spot-fixing in the Bangladesh T20 League. "I would only plead that you all forgive me for my wrongdoings against the nation and myself," Ashraful, one of Bangladesh's most talked-about batsman, added. Bangladesh Cricket Board had already ordered Ashraful to temporarily stay away from cricketing activity pending an ACSU investigation into the alleged match and spot-fixing scandal in the Bangladesh T20 League. More than a fortnight after the spot-fixing scandal broke out in the Indian T20 League, Ashraful's suspension is the latest case of corruption in cricket which has seen a number of cricketers being arrested in recent times. Which means he wont be able to participate any professional cricket related activities for the time being, or maybe forever. He could chose the path of Jadeja
King Khan Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Nine charged for corruption in BPL Nine individuals have been charged with various offences allegedly committed in violation of the Bangladesh Cricket Board's anti-corruption code during the 2013 Bangladesh Premier League, the ICC and the BCB announced on Tuesday. The charges, which followed an investigation carried out by the ICC's Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU), relate to an alleged conspiracy within the Dhaka Gladiators franchise to engage in match-fixing and spot-fixing during the tournament, as well as failures by individuals to report approaches made to them to be involved in the conspiracy. Details ACSU seems to be not totally worthless at all. I guess the success of this investigation, totally due to Ashraful's trapped confession.
