Look, the best way to tackle the media is to not shy away from them but give them some bytes so they can't complain and don't say anything incriminating too... Dhoni is not just an employee, he is the captain of the national team and head of all the players. That's a position of power and any person in such a position is answerable If there is a scandal about a company of course the important people will be asked question by the media and they do give interviews. Dhoni is the captain of the national team. Who asked him to speak against BCCI? all the questions he was asked was about the team moral and himself So Dhoni can make money out of the scores of fans, he can mint millions in advertisements, but cannot be answerable to fans? Some people need a reason to bash Dhoni.. Even the greats like Tendulkar where busy celebrating their IPL victory when Indian cricket was being rocked by the fixing saga, so you can hardly blame Dhoni for keeping mum especially when the team is going into Champions trophy.
