I6MTW Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Even conoor is slowly losing it's charm. Only Kodai' date=' yerkaud, valparai, velliangiri, kolli hills are left with greenery.[/quote'] Kodail kanal is a good hill station but yercaud and yelagiri are boring and nothing to do except seeing the view. They are boring. Kodiakanal is a very charming place even with the amount of tourists it is getting.
I6MTW Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 :beee: Idk about all that. :cantstop: BUT the whether IS nice. Except the fact that it gave me a nosebleed... snow huh.:cantstop:

IMO the main reason to go there is to feel the climate, get some fresh air and enjoy with the company we ve got :two_thumbs_up: In yercaud, we go to an isolated farm, switch off the phones, and just escape from the mad routines for a while.

You can go to A&N Islands for that instead of some boring old hill station which doesn't even have beautiful greenery or nature.
veer Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Explored Sikkim few years back.. It's awesome.. People are also welcoming and humble. Places to go in Sikkim are Gangtok, Lachung, Pelling... Gangtok market is good shopping as well. Unfortunately, lot of goods in this area come from China..

I6MTW Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 I can always go to Yercaud/Velliengiri IMO Munnar is the best because you can hop onto a houseboat on the great backwaters of kerala and explore the place. Plus it is very elevated and very scenic.
The Dark Horse Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Just went to the himalayas..Himachal Pradesh..what an awesome state full of natural beauty:hail: Never seen anything like it before... Kasol :acute:

Plus it is very elevated and very scenic. +1 It's better than most TN's hills. I would go there atleast once in a year. I said that already in my first post. But I wouldn't go there as frequently as Yercaud. Someone got to look after that farm :((

Kasol :acute: You can see the full Himalayas from there. Plus the snow there is frequent, so if you're from a hot place, the climate will be amazing.

cowboysfan Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I love love love Ladakh. They have beautiful ornaments there. ladakh is not a hill station.
cowboysfan Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Sikkim is my one true regret,i had the plans all mapped out but got terribly sick in Delhi and had to cut my all india trip short.
G_B_ Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 recently on a trip to india visited matheran and lonaval both near mumbai
punjabi_khota Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I have visited Tawang. The facilities are absolutely minimal, but the views are breathtaking. Reminder: You might be asked to show a permit to enter Arunachal Pradesh though.
