Only gregg chappel was stpid enough to do this. If anyone think crapthan should open in any format for India then they are insane. We need to move beyond this madness. in ODIs Vijay has nothing,so dunno what you are on about

Even Jadeja opening is better then Pathan because Jadeja can play slow and defend and then get in and accelerate. He has the ability to anchor an innings as well as hit/slog. He is wasted down the order.

Did you see vijay bat in aus test series. Crapthan even in his dreams cant bat like that. Crapthan would be walking wicket, especially if weather turns and clouds gather. Drop vijay if you insist. But to mention crapthan as replacement is flaw in your point. A rather big flaw i may add

Yes, I did see him bat in the Test series against Australia in India, what about it? What's that got to do with an ODI tournament in England? Learn to differ a Test inning to an ODI one. He never rotates the strike and tuks tuks for 50 minutes until he ends up playing a dumb shot to get out. I never said that Pathan should be our opener but anyone is better than Vijay. If Vijay fails again then probably the guy who 'oozes talent' might get to open.

Where are we? Back in the 90s. Crapthan ia a poor bat, I really dont see how it helps matters having a makeshift batsman open up top and get out for low scores day in day out.
