Given his fitness problems, he should be kept away from the ODIs till the time he has gone through a season or two without any problems with his knees. Rahane went to England in 2011, did decently, should have been picked.

He started playing IPL only a few days after the team was selected. If the selectors were serious about selecting him, they surely would have communicated with him about the status of his injury.

I AGREE , Pujara should be in the ODI squad and not picked up for t20 as odi he can play his game and t20 is not good for him, I would also love to see Rayudu in the mix in odi and test if he performs.

Pujara will eventually get into the ODI side. I think he was not selected in this CT because he was just coming off the injury, and not to forget he hasn't made his ODI debut yet.
