I have seen him play anything over 140 in IPL and he looked all at sea against quality pace....As you said,he is young and will improve and I agree on that...as of now he is way behind the pecking order and hasn't been impressive...Looked all at sea against decent bowlers.

G_B_ Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Delhi has produced some good indian players Sehwag Kohli Gambhir Dhawan Ishant (lucky) Dont think any other state association had produced that many indian stars or played who have represented team india in the past 5-6 years.

Gambhir, Dhawan all made somewhat late entries. Kohli is the only one who got in early and grabbed his chances immediately. So let us hope he improves. We are talking a bit of history here. Delhi top order has been working for us . No reason not to expect from this guy as well.

cowboysfan Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 There is a stat is baseball called BABIP and it is mostly about luck and it is used to weed out statistically anomalous seasons for both pitchers and batters,Dhawan has a great cricket BABIP right now but it will normalize later.I am just glad we found a opener who can negotiate the short ball while still maintaining a great strike rate.
