he seems like guy who knows his game really well now.. he leaves balls which get him out and now plays long inning and once set no planning can help against good batsmen imo.. very experienced cricketer now and it shows in his batting..:two_thumbs_up:

I was just pointing out that the first few matches are not necessarily the correct gauge of long term potential of players. There were a few who went on to have long careers like Azhar and Ganguly and others who fell by the wayside like Kambli.

Whats good about Dhavan is that in 2011 when he made his debut in WI i just wrote him off. At the time dont think even his FC record was any good. A comeback story and he is nearly 28. Just just shows you. Dont write anybody off. They can raise their game at different times in their career. I have my doubts about him still. But more than happy to eat humble pie every time he proves me wrong. As things stand i am going to eat apple pie at dinner.

ofc he is not gonna score at same rate will average around 40 which is great in todays era..im sure about that. over all in odis im sure his game is good enough.. test we will see how he does but looks like best opener in india so will be backed well i guess.
