kumar713 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 How many Odi's starc has played in SC?1 or 2.Jimmy will be a better option than him on any conditions.
jalebi_bhai Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 How many Odi's starc has played in SC?1 or 2.Jimmy will be a better option than him on any conditions. The only sub-continent type conditions Starc has played in was in the 3 match series in the U.A.E. vs Pakistan (also 1 match against Afghanistan, but I won't count that) his average is 15.11 (since this was against Pakistan, I'd add about 5-10 to bring it in relation to the ROTW) Sir Jimmy's ODI bowling averages in the sub-continent: in Sri Lanka 54.50 in India 48.16 in Pakistan 25.57 (again...since this was against Pakistan, I'd add about 5-10 to bring it in relation to the ROTW) in Bangladesh 35.00 Sir Jimmy is a TTF in the subcontinent........
kumar713 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Jimmy is a far better bowler than what his stats suggest.Watch out for him if he plays on SC pitches in coming years.
1983-2011 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Batting Amla - Ave:55.07 SR:91.07 Trott - Ave:52.66 SR:77.20 Kohli - Ave:49.76 SR:86.32 Sangakkara - Ave:39.05 SR:75.84 de Villiers - Ave:49.82 SR:93.29 Dhoni (WK) © - Ave:51.30 SR:88.22 Shakib - Batting: Ave:35.12 SR:78.1 Bowling: Ave:29.37 ER:4.31 Bowling Narine - Ave:22.09 ER:3.96 Finn - Ave:26.94 ER:4.67 Anderson - Ave:29.11 ER:4.97 McKay - Ave:22.07 ER:4.62
vvvslaxman Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I would go for match winners than run accumulators and players who do well under pressure. Amla has gone missing few times. But still the best though. Also you have to pick players that suit a specific position.. let us see Amla, Dhawan, Bell, Guptill.. Dhawan.. Bell's strike rate is poor. Dilshan bangla basher. Dhawan and Amla are the stand out in winning matches with good strike rate. Both capable of playing well against spin and pace. Dhawan & Amla No.3 V.Kohli virtually no contest here.. Trott is good.. but his strike rate is 73 in the last 12 months are so at no.3 spot. Kane williamson is another choice with a strike rate of 90 avge of 72.. but weak against lot of good bowling.. Clarke too slow. Samuels inconsistent. Sangu not a permanent 3. No.4 ABDV Comes mostly at no.5 . In a combined XI he can come early. Good against pace and spin.. only weakness is pressure situations.. At no.4 3 matches 254 runs 127 avge. 101 strike rate. ABDV No.5 Morgan did very well at no.5 recently. Misba, Raina, Bailey competition. In the last 1 year Morgan at no.5 13 matches 416 runs 83.20 avge 115 strike rate. Morgan No.6 Dhoni competitors Pollard/ Raina assuming ABDV can keep Dhoni is an easy pick here considering he is the best finisher going around. No.7 Jadeja. qwerqwe4523resafq35rdfas is the main reason No.8 Narine No.9 Mitch Starc No.10 Anderson No.11 Malinga
vvvslaxman Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Above is a good mix of left/right combo.. and attacking, inning builders. Match winners , game changers as well on a consistent basis.
King Tendulkar Posted June 28, 2013 Author Posted June 28, 2013 You guys can debate some positions. But one person who is beyond debate is Sir Jadeja. Anyone who leaves him out is bonkers and a traitor to the mother land
Manny_Pacquiao Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 you are all idiots. how can u have an ODI XI without amla? LOL no morne? a guy that averages 23 with ball...? this is the real ****: amla - avg 55 @ SR 91 guptill - 40 @ 83 trott - 53 @ 77 kohli - 50 @ 86 AB - 50 @ 93 dhoni [captain] - 51 @ 88 shakib - 38 @ 80, 37 wkts @ 26 (last 3 yrs) morkel - 104 wkts @ 23 mckay - 79 wkts @ 22 ajmal - 132 wkts @ 23 narine - 52 wkts @ 22 my team >>>>>>> yours
