Pujara keen on ODI dash

Just let him be ... No need for everyone to play in every format ... Let him be the best in test and play only tests atleast until the Australian tour ... We cannot afford to lose him due to injury atleast not with so many away tests waiting for us in the next 12 months.

He should be in the squad for the NZ ODI series:-Dhawan,Rohit,Kohli,Rahane, Rayudu,Dhoni,Jadeja,Ashwin,Aaron,Shami,Ishant is my XI with Pujara,BK,Umesh, Rasool as reserves.Yuvi ,Raina,Mohit,Mishra should be dropped.Pujara has to bat in the top 3 in ODIs but atm he has no place in the 1st XI.

Pujara at 4. Yuvraj looks hopeless right now. In Aus' date=' you will need a proper batsman at 4, not just sloggers like Raina and Yuvraj.[/quote'] Yuvraj is a big match player....2 world cups india won was mainly because of this guy....Dont rule him off just yet.......He is coming off a big disease and might take sometime to be at his best.....I would give him a long rope.... BTW....he can be a batting allrounder and spectacular fielder.....he is not doing all that but let him ease into the groove and you will get to see him contributing in other areas as well....

He is very valuable Test Player and I wouldn't risk him in one day format.....If you look very carefully, he is dodgy running between the wickets and if u stress those legs more, injury might crop up again...... By merit of his batsman-ship, he demands the place in the Indian ODI side. If someone who is ahead of him in the ODi side in terms of quality of batting....it is Kohli

So till he ease into his groove, we can play Pujara and Yuvraj can do that in domestic cricket. BTW, Yuvraj was never a great batsmen against pace and swing.

He does not have any injury issue now.

One could easily get pujara in odi team. But to have any effect needs to bat top 3. Raina and Yuvraj are vulnerbale ones and I dont like them 4 and 5, very soft belly in team. Rohit has struggled middler order but maybe maybe could do job at 4. Although I think doing well as opener and not conviced he could do middlle order well in odis Then have Pujara Dhawan Kohli Rohit Raina Dhoni as top 6 possibly

Dhawan and Rohit are batting well together. It might not be the right time to break the partnership. I agree that Pujara maybe a good bet as an ODI opener in the long run but if he has to play now ( he is needed ) , no.4 is the only practically available spot.
