veer Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 My prediction.. we winning the first game.. and pakis winning the cup..
Utalk Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 not at all, i have very pleasant memories of the opening match of the 2011 world cup. u gonna start saving up the dole money now, or wot? passion innit. Pity I have no choice but pay my taxes that end up in the pockets of some smelly politicians in indo-pak in the name of aid to the likes of you. I feel for you bro you should be getting your dole money.
Utalk Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 My prediction.. we winning the first game.. and pakis winning the cup.. No chance unless we produce couple of good batsmen( highly unlikely). We are a poor ODI team.
veer Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 The best games are in Ozzie land!! But here is the thing that i was thing.. Ozzie stadiums.. Biggest and roundest of countries NZ stadiums... Smallest and of funny shapes Ozzie stadiums can turn out to be disadvantage for asian countries.. IMO
philcric Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Utter bollocks. First 42 matches are just practice matches. Only the last 7 matches matter. England, Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka from Pool A and India, Pakistan, South Africa, West Indies from Pool B will reach the Quarters. There's nothing at stake in the league matches. Top 8 teams just have to beat the minnows. Bunch of morons the ICC.
veer Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 No chance unless we produce couple of good batsmen( highly unlikely). We are a poor ODI team. Ahhh.. your bowling dept is powerful, plus knock out format suits your style of play, plus,. you won't meet India who can easily dominate ajmal and co...
BeautifulGame Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Pak doesn't have the team or mentality to win 3 high pressure knock out games in a row IMO particularly when u consider how bad they are at chasing

G_B_ Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 so as expected when playing outside india india v pak aus v england the biggest rivalries get played
G_B_ Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 btw like to announce, I won £50 of actual money due to this draw by my local Coral Bookie. I had bet India v Pakistan would happen in the WC as would Aus v England. I got odds of about 5/1. Placed £10 on the outcome. Cheers ICC for being predictable.
Lord Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 poor format, the league games will again be insignificant. We all know which 8 teams will qualify
G_B_ Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 dont see why anybody is surprised really. India v Pak, Aus v NZ = money spinners and therefore have to be in same group. Aus v NZ = local rivalry. So the remaining falls into place. You need to balance the groups.
Raghav_12 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Going to be a drab tournament. All league matches are inconsequntial that means 42 out of 49 matches. I had thought that they would learn something from 2011 tournament but nothing. Absolutely useless format.
deathmonger Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 No chance unless we produce couple of good batsmen( highly unlikely). We are a poor ODI team. Realist. Plus also spinners will become ineffective. Of the top 8 teams they are the ones with the least chance since it is out of SC(Like what happened in the CT). I predict QF loss. Semis prediction: Four out of India SA NZ Eng Oz SL
Sidhoni Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 So its 2011 format again. Unnecessarily lengthy, would be better to have 12/16 teams and divide them in groups of 4 each. Then have Super 6/8.

Sidhoni Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 That is like 2007 WC.one loss against minnows can knock big teams out.we dont need that I found 2003 WC the best Why that shouldn't happen? If we lost to Bangladesh, we could have still defeated SL to go through. In this format, the group stage hardly has any significance. I can tell you right now, India, SA, Pak and WI will go through from our group. Ireland may defeat WI probably but will fail to qualify.
flashpan Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Looking at the schedule, seems like Gabba has got the short end of the stick. Three awful games and not even one knock out match. Sad for an iconic venue.
