Specific chinks of different Indian batsmen on green pitches

im predicting he will handle steyn well' date=' but philander's seam and morkel's body line approach will be his doom. we have already seen so far that he loves to hook, but he doesnt really assess how high the ball will come up when going for that shot.. IMO he should avoid that shot in test cricket. Pujara is also a concern with the hook shot but he's way more balanced than Dhawan when he plays the hook shot.[/quote'] Dhawan's strength is going to be his weakness more than his weak areas. Slashing through off side. They trapped Viru by having a third man from ball one which was his strength.

:WTF: Ball keeping low a weakness? :hysterical:
Not quite right. The weakness is his inability to pretend well enough that bowl kept low. :winky:

Tendulkar's abilithy to bend basically has been I guess his weakness if you want me to put it that way. You could see the position he put himself him in most of the time. The shape of his body movement and dismissal is quite identical during some of those bowled dismisalls.

Lol Tendulkar has the perfect technique ,He has less trigger movements and goes on to front or back foot depending on his judgement of length,Naturally his eye is not as great as he used to so he errors creep in.

Our batsmen have relatively much better technique , but wer we struggle is adapting to conditions quicky . Tendulkar , Dravid & Kallis are the 3 best ever examples of near perfect technique imo ..amongst the current lot , Virat & Pujara are the ones who have pretty much everything covered .

It requires lot of preparation something our players don't find time to do. Tendulkar for instance before Australian tour had a set of preparation each time. He would have a hit at MRF pace academy for a while. Also he would have bowlers to bowl him from 15 yards with wet tennis ball. Current generation purely depend on tour matches other than net practice. Some additional, extra preparation may be required.

To be fair to Dhawan he did that ODIs were u need to maintain scoring rates.Think he wont be as compulsive hooker in tests
