G_B_ Posted September 28, 2013 Share Posted September 28, 2013 well if its three then Dhoni Raina and Ashwin. Cant help but feel that Sir is wasting away at CSK. Ideally the IPL need more teams (say 12 from the current 8 or even last IPL's 9) with 5 foreign players in the final 11. Will increase quality and hopefully team India regulars in the T20 do get a regular chance to shine with bat and ball. As far Sir, goes he needs to be batting at 4 and bowling a quota of 4 overs on a regular basis. He has that role at the Kochi franchise and did reasonably well. From a career POV considering he is young Sir needs to move to one of the lesser teams like Sunrisers or Kings 11. There are so many Indians like Saha Pujara (to a lesser degree) etc wasting away at the big teams. Saha especially IMO has the talent to push DK for back up keeper. CSK is obsessed with all-rounders and Jadeja is the only International level Indian all-rounder at the moment. So jadeja will probably be retained. With the younger players like Rohit sharma, Kholi and dhawan being captains of IPL teams, Raina meanwhile should look to move away from CSK so he can lead a team of his own. Ashwin can be bought back in the auction just like last.If it goes to auction Jadeja will fetch lot more money than Ashwin so it will be better to retain Jadeja and buy back Ashwin. They let Badri goto auction (through no fault of their own as those were the rules) and he came back with $700,000. I am guessing Ashwin will be worth $1 million plus easily.
